Was talking to a guy on Memorial day who has a S.E ultra classic, he said he had his bike on a dyno, then he started talking about #'s..... front cyl torque xxx ft lbs, rear cyl torque xxx ft lbs. didn't know what HP was but "there's a formula" to figuring it out......... huh??? none of what he said made any sense to me, anyone know what he was talking about?

In order to own the S. E. you have to kinda talk like a politician. A lot of talk and not much said...maybe he is talking about the torque HD did on his wallet. I saw a Scream Eagle Ultra Classic at Daytona had a price tag of $46,000+. There was a dude looking at it with a salesperson, he was a short guy and wanted it lowered, oh that will be another $2500, thank you very much!!!! WOW! I don't know anything about his formula on torque, just know I couldn't afford it.

its an easy mathmatical computation try to follow as I explain

Take the model year of the bike divide by the dealer sticker price, multiply that by 5, thats the amount of fingers you just got _____ by.
Now add in the number of trips to the shop you had for repair the first year of ownership. Then take that number and subtract the number of beers it took to calm you down from the repair bills. Finally, take the last figure and multiply it by the number of times your spouse/partner
has called you a dumbass for buying what he/she refers to as "that GD moneypit piece of crap". This will give you the answer to what you have asked in reference to torque, Torque by the way refers to the tightness one is screwed...

Just a question?
is that measured in "foot up the ass pounds" or inches walked because my bike is in the shop, and I can't go there because I'll kill someone.

I should be riding, Oh I have a Victory I am riding.

My bad not nice. my buds really hate it when I compare the Vic to HD CVO bikes. but I agree with them It is not fair!

Those numbers must be at the crank. The SE catalogue lists them at 80/95. Here is their own chart

Actually, yes there is. Horsepower is a calculated number.

HP = Torque * RPM / 63025

On a dyno, the torque is measured and HP is calculated.

Where I found humor in what this guy was saying was the 2 different torque #'s, 107.x for the front and 108.x for the rear as though you could measure torque to each cylinder individually.
I know he wasn't quoting factory #'s because he said he had taken the bike in to have it dynoed so either they were blowing smoke up his a__ or he completely misunderstood what they were telling him.

WOW those are lousy #s Kevin. I just sold my HD Street Glide bumped to a 95 with S&S 510 gear cams and a nice power commender tuned on a dyno by a guy that knows what he's doing. I was running 85HP and 98 ft lbs at the rear wheel.

Dang I thought the SE110 would do a little better but..I was dissapointed in it when I test rode one last fall and was impressed enough with my buddies 08 Vision bone stock, to buy an 09 S1L1 instead.
I cant even remember what Vic quotes the #s at the crank at but do know the KP 100CI I am looking at is 85HP and 106ft/lbs torque at the crank..Torque beats the Pork all the time I'd say!

The constant depends on the units you are working with. My equation uses in-lb (they's what I use here at work) but if you use ft-lb 63025/12 = 5252. Close enough
