Just picked up my 2008 Vision SSG this week! Had the trim pieces painted pearl black and installed CFR slip ons on Thursday night. It's starting to come together!! Anyway, just wanted to say hi, I've been a lurker here for sometime, and I look forward to participating here.

Thanks
Mike

Mike, congrats on the new purchase. Show us some pics of the paint, I'll bet it looks good.

Congrats and welcome.

Lurking for research to make the decision to buy, or just hanging out while you waited for the right deal?

I'd say it was a combination of both. I've lusted for the Vision since it came out, but just couldn't swing the cost for a new bike. Came across a great deal on a used one, and pulled the trigger. I couldn't be happier. The wife is now actually asking to go on rides!!! Never did that before!

If someone can help me figure out how to post pics, I will post some of the new paint and pipes.

Very nice and welcome to the nut house. By the way, you know you got the fastest color too, right?

Do you have a trunk rack and CB antenna that you took off?

Need a close up and review of the extension on the kickstand.

If you are not aware of it there should be a rubber boot on the stand (helps to kick it up if you move forward with it down). A 1" x 4" piece cut from a road kill tire casing works great and the price is right.

By the way Mike, it is really sweet looking, but don't let anyone fool you into thinking that it is the fastest color (midnight cherry is rated in Mach rather than MPH). I'm guessing that fast isn't all that important to you anyway since there is no hair to blow in the breeze. LOL

Hey, welcome. Dig the black highlights. Pipes look good too. Let us know how those sound and if you get a pop problem. Pipes are a hassle around here. I am always reading up on what people are doing so I can get the right set up too!

You're gonna love that bike! (looks like you already know that).

Also, I put the Alpine speakers in and liked the difference. And, if you turn OFF the auto volume settings-- you can turn the radio up louder !! No one told me that one!
