The wires for a battery tender are stock, I believe.

My Nomad's battery made it 5 years before I traded it in. My Goldwing's battery is almost 4½ years old. I have never used a battery tender. During the worst part of the Summer here, I let the bikes sit for up to 6 weeks because I wear safty gear. If I didn't wear the gear, I might ride all year. I had to jump the Goldwing with the truck about 3 weeks ago. Fired right up. I just did an 800 mile round trip last week-end(3 days), and I am doing about 700 this week-end(3 days). I am not fearing battery failure if the bike gets ridden at least once a week.
