The ONLY and I mean ONLY thing the Cross has over the Vision is the larger storage space. I own a Vision, have ridden a Cross and there is no way the Cross is a smoother, beter ride than the Vision.
In my book the Vision will always be #1 and the Cross #2 But I want you guys to buy the Cross bike so not every Tom Dick and Harry will have a bike as special as mine LOL
"cinder blocks"? WOW! Hadn't heard that one. What's the story with that?

I was burning the rear wheel filling the garage with smoke wnen I released the front brake the Vision launched at the rear wall imagine my surprise as the bike and I ended up in the pool in the backyard.
I turned and looked back at the house with a large hole in the cinderblock wall.

OK that never happened but it is was what came to mind when I read cinderblock
Just for an update, took the stand off today and looked at it closer. There is damage on the underside of it but have no clue how it could be damaged when there isn't a scratch on anything else. So I put it it the press and now it's nice and straight. The bike sits how it should sit. Next task is to replace the rubber pad. Will keep an eye on it to see if it bends again. Still bewildered about how it got bent that way.

Thanks again all
Excellent color choice. Pictures always lie some, but it appears to have a copper cast to it. Straying from a manufacturer's color pallet is always a risk and usually ends is a poor fit, but you nailed it. That looks as though it could have rolled of the factory floor.
Great Job!

Well I would never have believed it but it will be 40 degrees this Sunday and sunny here in Fargo North Dakota. I will pull the Vision out of hibernation for a ride for sure. Last year it was -28 with a windchill of -50. We also had 6 ft of snow on the ground and no sign of pavement. This year we have only had a few light snow flurries and 2 weeks of temps close to or just under 0 degrees. There is a God! and he is blessing those of us who really need a RIDE! This spring should be great... not too much snow yet, no flooding expected on the Red River and sub zero weather is nowhere to be found. See you on the road.

Just to chime in I think the Vision is a great bike in stead of an 8 ball. if you want take the trunk off for solo riding put it on when wife/girlfriend goes so you got room for "shopping" . trany noise mine can't complain, heat I live in fla, black roads and 100 degree days do kinda suck just keep moving. As for the insurance I had a VTX 1800 R3 before, with the help of the ABS brakes and being a safe driver my ins went down. That's a 500 deductable 300/100 ins policy or 100/300 whatever but I have to admit I was glad to have it when I got into an accident on my wifes bike Honda areo 750. 14 days in intensive care, let's just say Glad to be alive. as for a back rest tell the passenger to hold on to either you or the handles! Happy safe riding!
