Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | At least we ride together for lunch.
As of last Friday there are seven total riders at my office. Six of them rode to work and five went to lunch in a group (the sixth had a really lame excuse for not showing up).
I rode the seventh riders bike from service center at the dealership to his house that afternoon. It is his first ride and I will put his story in a different post.

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | I tried that a couple of years ago and it lasted about 2 times. There's one guy I would ride with, but another rides a V-Rod and thinks it's a Harley. Another is a Winger and he makes sure you know it, two-ride BMW's and only ride with themselves, though I have rode with one on the way home. Another rides a Big Dog, about 3 times a year and that is the same with a few of the Harley riders, if the moon alignment is right, no rain predicted for the upcoming two weeks, and if they can get them started.
Okay, but sometime in June there is the "ride to work day" so I was planning on getting something togehter for that day and see what happens.

Shade also means you have to clean off bird crap from time to time
Here is a post I made on that bike and it has a video of the bike as well. Its a BSA. With the way it leaks oil you do not have to change it often.
It also has "anti-lock" brakes....no matter how hard you pull on the levers, the front and rear drums will not lock up!!!

Cap'n Nemo,
June 20th, 2011 is ride to work day this year. Personally I ride to work only on days that end in "y".

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | we have parking on the lower deck of a parking platz, but it does leak so you have to make sure it is under the dry spot when it rains. I personally ride on days that end in "Y" as well, except when there is a prediction of flying debris as in today.
It's funny how those occassional riders rib me so much on days that I don't ride but get mad when I make reference to their lack of riding. With a tornado watch in affect for most of the day I "jeeped" it in case I needed to "rescue" folks. But I've heard the sarcastic question a few times today "Uh, did you ride today?" <snicker>

For the last few months in 2010 I would bring the Trailblazer to work once a week on Friday's. Some would poke fun at me about not riding but felt really bad moments later.......when I told them that I had to take my father to dialysis at 5:00 AM on Friday mornings because my mother does not see very well at night and and Dad does not want to ride on the back of the Vision.
Since my father passed in February so nobody has asked why I do not ride on non-riding days anymore.
My mood is surly on days I do not ride and most know to keep their distance.
Ride Safe and think happy thoughts because God wants you to be happy!!! |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I forgot to mention that rider of the 2009 Blue Ultra and I split the cost of three Guardian Bells for the other riders at lunch that day.
And the BSA rider was the first to need it! Check out the BSA rat bike thread for more info on his road side repair!!
