San Antonio, TX | A friend and co-worker rides about once a month when the weather is nice. His ride is a 1971/69 Triumph/BSA Chopper/Rat Bike.
Oil leaking, kick starting old school kind of ride. Right foot shift, left foot rear brake with drum brakes front and back.
Rene loved old bikes and old cars and does not own any vehicle that has Fuel Injection.
The concrete that we are parked on is less than two weeks old. That old bike is breaking it like an old dog...by marking its spot.

seattle, wa | Nice bike! I love the old style chops. I've been "working" on a rigid framed Shovel for quite some time now. I have so many other projects going on I haven't touched it in about a year! Someday I will get her done, rigid frame, kick only. Your friend has done a nice job on his bike. |

not far from hustler wisconsin | i have a 69 triumph trophy 650 rigid. with many of the same features but.... mine needs a lot of $$ and time. on eof these days. i have the twin amals as well and a conversion with a capacitor so it doesn't need a battery. |

San Antonio, TX | Today four of us from work had a group ride to lunch. The 2009 Blue Ultra, a 2007 Deluxe the BSA rat bike and me.
The guy in the video above on the BSA was the last inside the restaurant. He informed the group that his just found out that his rear axle nut fell off. That was followed by...Gasps...What?...and....Really??
Below are the pictures of the missing nut and the fix the owner put in place to ride it home.
He put a screwdriver through the axle to keep it from turning. Held in place by tie wraps and bailing wire.
He wrapped wire around the axle threads so not to mess them up and used a cheep pair of Lock Grip pliers to act as a nut on the other end of the shaft. Then held that in place with tie wraps and bailing wire.
I am so spoiled riding my Vision.
Thanks goodness that I gave him a Bell last week to protect him on the way to lunch and then on the way home.

New York State | Wow my Bonnie never started like that. You had three or four tries to fire her or she would toss you over the bars. It looked like he primed the kick with no effort then got a full stroke
