Upon leaving my Demo experience the first few miles followed the same route as the demo I was just on so I had a good opportunity to do some back to back comparisons. I love my V92C Classic Cruiser, but some things were immediately noticed. The handling in the curves was comparable, but for the low speed maneuvering in the parking lot, the Vision really out-shined my current ride. Overall performance and handling on the road was comparable also, although it's a bit apples and oranges as my bike is a Cruiser weighing just over 700lbs and I'm now without a passenger and the Vision is a true touring bike, with passenger, and over 800 lbs, so suffice to say they both act as they should. What was obvious was that even with my oversize windshield and Wind Whippers™, I hadn't realized how much air was hitting me on my bike. Especially compared to the Vision in which no air was hitting me. Also, the Vision is a much smoother ride, probably attributed to the weight, but without that lumbering "boat" affect akin to some other brands or an older Lincoln Towne Car. The Vision just glided over the same bumps that I was now feeling every single one of on my Cruiser.

I define luxury by the way those sometimes subtle extra's or nice-to-have's, are implemented.

Anyone interested in a Luxury Touring motorcycle, will have a hard time not liking the Vision for overall performance, options, comfort and cost. Those into style either love it or hate it. Having done a lot of long distance travel, I really can't picture going on a vacation on any bike other than a fully loaded Vision Tour. Lisa's final comment after the ride was that if we owned a Vision, she'd have no problem being a passenger rather than riding her own ride on a long trip, and we even discussed that we could easily alternate who got to be passenger to cover more mileage.

Cutting through the hype, the new Victory Vision Tour is everything Victory has claimed, and in some ways much more. I define luxury by the way those sometimes subtle extra's or nice-to-have's, are implemented. If the amenities of this bike were rated like those found in high-end luxury hotel, the Vision would be a 5-Star. The Vision has set a new standard for Comfort, Handling, and Performance in luxury motorcycle touring and managed to keep the price of a fully loaded model near the base prices of much of the current competition.
