History

In 2000 the first Ride for Molly was held in Warren, Massachusetts, shortly after Molly disappeared. Since then, several area communities have played host to this annual event. In 2003, when Molly was found, we lost count at approximately 3,000 motorcycles.

Due to the number of riders that come out each year (between 500 and 1,000), and the addition of the "Family Fun Day", the ride landed in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

Molly?s Ride for Child Safety is one of the largest non-stop police escorted charity motorcycle rides in New England. 100% of the proceeds from this event support the funding necessary to provide child identification kits as well as safety and educational programs for families, schools, community groups and Law Enforcement throughout New England.

Because of your continued support, the Molly Bish Foundation is able to continue their efforts. We appreciate everyone who has helped us achieve our goals, and we hope you take the time from your busy schedules to join us on our next ride.

About the Molly Bish Foundation
Months after Molly disappeared a need for safety in the community was evident, and the first Safety Day (which was held in Sturbridge, MA) was organized and from their kitchen table the; ?Molly Bish Foundation? and ?Life Guards Center? was established to promote child safety, Awareness and Prevention. Molly?s spirit of ?love? gave courage to help them give a voice to all those who were missing and exploited.

The Foundation has provided education and awareness for families across the Commonwealth, New England and the Country. Since its inception more than 125, 000 child Identification kits have been provided at no cost to families, along with hundreds of Safety programs.

John & Magi have been tireless activists; they have helped to established Massachusetts Missing Children?s Day, and they have initiated the efforts to bring the Amber Alert system to Massachusetts. John was the Keynote speaker at the 2006 National Missing Children?s Day in Washington DC. They also serve as members of the Amber Alert Committee for the Office of Justice.

John and Magi hold honorary Doctoral Degrees from Anna Maria College and have collaborated in the development of the Molly Bish Center for Children and Elderly at Anna Maria College, as well as the Molly Bish Institute at Mount Wachusett Community College.

They have been aggressive in legislative movements locally and nationally; assisting in the passage of the State Amber Alert system; the Joanne and Alyssa Bill; the Sexual Offender Registry Act; and changes to the Statue of Limitation on Sexual Crimes. Nationally, they have worked for the passage of the Amber Alert/Child Protective Act along with the Adam Walsh Bill.

?Molly Law? is currently pending which would change the structure of the License Plate System. They serve on the board of RadKids. They are members of Massachusetts Child Sexual Abduction Prevention Partnership. John and Magi have worked tirelessly, speaking for NCMEC and the OJJDJ; and as consultants for numerous conferences and training programs.

Prior to suffering a stoke, John spoke for the US Dept. of Justice on Missing Persons-DNA Initiative; and Cold Case Training Seminars. Both Magi and John speak for Child Abduction Response Training Programs. They have spoken all across America and New England to legislators, law enforcement, families, youth groups, church, civic and community groups. All in hope that they can empower everyone to work collectively toward their motto ?If you save one life you save the world.?

Magi and John have told Molly?s story to Court TV, Unsolved Mysteries, 48 hours, Larry King, America Most Wanted, and many other national and local news shows in hopes to bring Molly?s murder to justice.
