I have a 2011 VV. Installed the Alpine 445 amp along with hertz speakers last spring. Prior to the amp I would have the volume up around 12-13 and it had distortion, this was with a 1/2 helmet or 3/4 helment. Now I ride with the volume at 8, sound is loud and clear. I also changed over to the Nolan 104 full face this summer. I wonder how the sound would be with the face shield on since its cooler out. To my surprise I only have to turn the volume up to 9.

Curious where you found the room to mount this amp, and how you hooked it up to the existing wiring harness? Did you isolate the speaker wires and then split them?

On top of the left side fuel tank. Here are step by step with photos. If the link doesn't work go to the tech forum and search Alpine. Thanks to Matt for this. I sent him a PM yesterday. Still working perfect. I was concerned about water. Not an issue.

I installed my in the hole area under the rear trunk, lots of space. I used some double sided velcro to hold it in place. As for wiring I had some issues so took it to an installer and he found the issue what I was doing wrong. Its a loop system thus not your simple plug and play install.
