Subject: XM install issue

I just installed my XM, everything is pluged in, turned on the radio and XM is not recognized, am I missing something?

how mutch is the radio reflash from the dealer?? I do belive that is what the problem is.

Hi, when I installed my xm on my '09 in '11, I had no problems with the radio recognizing it. There are 2 versions out there....one for '08+'09 and one for '10 and up. 1st Id make sure I have thre right version.

FYI, Vision-Riders has the procedure to check the radio software & firmware versions in their Tech Reference section.

Yes you need to update the radio software. Had to do it last week when we installed my CB system

Unfortunately, that probably kills my idea of trying to patch in a non-Vic XM tuner.
