Took a ride today and found a problem with the passenger intercom. I have the OEM CB/intercom setup with OEM speaker/mic and Garmin 660 GPS on a 2010. All features work except passenger can not hear driver. (passenger can hear ipod, garmin, driver can hear passenger). Also passenger can not hear self in headset like driver can. I plugged driver helmet in to passenger plug and had same problem. I'm thinking it's the passenger plug but how can I isolate where the actual problem is? Is there a way to test the plug to make sure all prongs are connected?

My wife complained about something similar right after we got the bike. Turns out that the volume is controlled separately for stereo, intercom, and CB functions. That is, she needs to adjust the volume for each function separately, using the same control button of course, just have to adjust for whatever source she is listening to while it is active. The source has to be active in order to affect the volume. Solved our problem. Try that if you haven't already.

Ronnie, you are on the money! Just turned up the volume while intercom active and she can now hear me. Now I know what happened. When we got on to ride today my wife put her helmet on and the music was too loud so she started to adjust it down just as I was saying something to her so she ended up turning me down instead of the music. It all makes sense now. I am so glad it was this easy
Thanks for solving the problem.
