I love my vision when I am riding it. I hate it when I am cleaning it. When close up cleaning it it shows how non durable the paint is, how water gets into the headlight, how the rotor hardware wants to rust, the windscreen wants to crack, and the pain to clean the wheels. OK I'm done venting now.

That's why I don't clean mine, and it takes away from riding time...

What's this "clean" that you speak of? The only time I clean it is when my wife badgers me for the third time about how many bugs are on the headlight/front. Then I clean the headlight/front of all bugs. And get back out on the road!!!

I'm not against people cleaning their bikes, but my personal choice is to not clean it. I want a new custom paint job in a few years anyway.

Yes, but she sure looks good once all cleaned up again.

I'm very anal about the cleanliness and appearance of all my bikes as well. I can't stand to ride a dirty motorcycle. Even my DR650. though I'm not quite as concerned about it's "total" cleanliness as compared to my Rocket 3 and my Vision.

Wow,I TOTALLY AGREE. The bike hold's water everywhere, the clear coat,is the worst that I've seen. It's to bad, these issue's have not just surfaced either. It's really a shame that P.I., isn't hearing, and taking head what there customer's are saying. They have revolutionized the ride.If you ask me and many more, the Vision is clearly the BEST, all around performing motorcycle made to date. But some of the production issue's are be coming tiresome and,I believe keeping, other rider's away from buying a VICTORY.

I guess I got lucky, the only issue I have is my seat that is splitting in two places, which I think is ridiculous.

I've owned several bikes (then and now) and each bike has had it's quirks and shortcomings. Always been addressable. The Vision however; with the amount of money that it costs; should be practically flawless.

I prefer to spend time and keep the bike clean. I finally purchased some S100 cleaner after seeing it in a motorcycle magazine ad.
Stuff is awesome. Spray it everywhere it's hard to reach and hose off. Great product.

No issue with the paint...  Ok, I have added custom paint to many areas (better clear coat).  No water retaining issues.  I ride every day, rain or shine and I clean the front of the bike and windscreen after each day of riding (Love Bugs).  When it comes time for a good wash and wax, I put J-Lo (Big Ass) up on the lift, use a Foose wheel cleaner that attaches to my drill to get the rims.

On my third set of tires now...  Went with Bridgestone GL1800 tires (second set). I am a certified HD Master Tech with over 20 years exp...  Do my own service and repairs.  Getting my own tire changer was the best thing, saves a ton of $$$.  My old BMW K1200LT would chew through the tires!

This is the best bike I have ever had the pleasure to own!

If you are looking for an easy inexpensive way to clean the bugs off go buy a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a spray bottle. Spray the peroxide on and wait a couple of minutes. They foam up and wipe off easily. I can do my bike in under 5 minutes.

You think a Vision is hard to clean then try a cross roads or cross country. They have more nooks and crannies that 2 Visions.

No water retaining issues on mine and I live in the Pacific NorthWET. Paint on my 09 is pretty good, seen lower quality factory paint on higher quality luxury cars. I wash and wax mine a few times a year but I don't go nuts. I have never cleaned my rear wheel since day one, and only washed the front with soap and water. Windshield is fine. If I wanted something perfect with no character what so ever and was not nearly as comfortable I would have bought a goldwing.

Gotta say, when caught in the rain (I'm in the Northwet, too), the Vision stays cleaner longer than my old Norton or Venture ever did, and is way easier to clean. That doesn't mean cleaning bikes is ant fun, although waxing is something I do frequently because the soft clearcoat blemishes on the front of the bags from my wifes chaps and on the back of the tank from my knees. Other than that, the burgundy metallic paint really pops in the sun, looks a foot deep. Maybe you gotta have soft paint to get that depth, I don't know.

JB.Hatch - Yep I'm in Columbus and my Vision is all blacked out. I do see a grey and maroon one every now and then around and yes winning the lotto would solve all my bike detailing needs.
