Ok, so last weel I washed my bike on the driveway with a hose and bucket, rode to work twice, and two evening rides. ( no rain, and stored inside) On todays ride, I noticed what appeared to be a crack in the left hand tail light about 2-3" from the bottom. however on one of out longer stops nelt down to only discover it was not a crack but bottom 2-3" of water. I have not stripped the back plastic off to locate a hole or any thing where that much water would have been able to get inside from only one single wash in last 6-7 months could accumilate in only one wash.
I may have to drill a small hole to drain off and then seal it up again. Has this happened to anyone else? Guessing I have been looking for water in the head light and missed this!

Thanks for any advise or ideas

So far all is well on my bike in regards to cracks in lights. Check to see if one of your bulbs is loose in the socket, that may have let water in. If you do find a crack on the back side, remove the housing, remove the bulbs and let it air out for a while to dry. Then take an epoxy and seal the crack. If the crack is on the lens side, replace the assembly is my suggestion. Sorry for that to happen. Give us an update to what you find.

Ok, just put back together, there is a small crack in the middle of the left taillight, just behind the plastic cowl. I was only able to locate it once light out and washed up. Left the bulbs and sockets in and tried to have water that was in it come out, only place water escaped was through the sockets, which under normal riding should not go in, however possibly at the car wash and unter presure water my be pushed in thrlough the wiring. I put lots of dielectric grease while re-installing tail lights. I guess I am in need of a new LH tailight.
Water must have been in there since last year as I know the hand wash this spring would not have forced 5-6 oz of water in. Chances are last year while riding the the sun was not hitting it just right as to be able to spot it.
I have no idea how or when the crack could have happened as it ison the RH side of the lens behind the cowling, near the hold down screw.

coat the crack with some good silicon and cover more the the crack. Stay away from the car washes. Pressure washing will do way more harm then good. That why we have sealed wheel bearing.
