Been checking out all the Victory sites and this one seems to have a ton of info for the Vision, many of the other forums seemed to just have one forum for the Vision and this site really seemed dialed in.

Anyway a little about me... I've been riding for over 20+years now and have owned a ton of bikes. I just traded my 2010 GoldWing for a new Vision. I was one of those that succumbed to the ad that said take one for a ride! I did, fell in love and now I have a 2011 Vision. For many years I "thought" that the Goldwing was the only true touring bike out there and that nobody else made one that could stack up to long distance riding like a Wing. Well I'm happy to say i was wrong. I really love this bike so much fun to ride, great character and the handling has surpassed my expectations. The first night I had it some friends and I did 400 miles and I loved every one of them. I just kept saying "damn I love this thing". So far I'm a week and half into owning it and I have almost put 2000 miles on it. I've also have a bad mod streak in me to so of course lots of upgrades have found there way to my Vision lol...

I've done the kicker speaker upgrade, new seat (with cool tribal pattern), backrest, trunk mat and organizer, passenger arm rests, new windshield, riser blocks for the Wifey, bag liners and the iPod cable (so worth the $99). Bike came with the cool six shooter tail pipes and I modded the stock exhaust with some extra holes so it would actually make some noise (it's way to quiet stock). I'm taking her on a trip from FL to St. Louis memorial day weekend so that should be a blast.

Here are some pics of my new baby:

Looking forward to meeting some folks here and riding the Vision some more!

Welcome to the forum and the world of Visions. NICE looking bike!! What brand of seat is that? Looks cool!! Be sure to fill out your profile and include details about your bike in your sig line. This way if you ask questions, we know what year and mods to the bike.

Welcome to the club, if you decide to go for any performance mods I highly suggest you talk to LLoyd of Lloydz Motorworkz. He has the knowledge and the parts.

Congrats. Nice upgrades for sure.
I was hesitant about the Vic armrests (think they're kinda "fugly" but my wife loves them and no doubt it's more comfortable for her.
Enjoy the bike

I was as well but what makes Wifey happy as they say... They are quite nice and they kinda hide in the seat area pretty well. A couple things I do like is you can take them off anytime easily (my wing armrests were drilled through the trunk) and they double as an armrest for me when I'm lounging down the interstate

As for the seat it's a custom job. Guy here in FL has them made. It's the stock lowboy seat with memory foam added and the tribal pattern done. It's really comfy and gave me the extra leg room that a short person like me needs. It was $395 to have it done.

Congrats on the new bike!

The seat looks identical to the 2010 Ness Vision seat. I'm sure you will find it a very comfortable seat. Being an inch lower, it really gives a lot of back support. You will find a ton of good mods on this site. My next big mod is Lloyds cam kit.

Sweet. Seem pretty common among 109 riders (others I'm sure) to have a fun bike and touring bike. Have you checked out m109riders.com? Great site and tons of info with great people...

Congratulations and welcome. That's a sharp bike.

Since you like to do mods, and you're used to a Goldwing's power and probably still ride with them, be advised that a set of Lloydz VM1-DR cams, a top intake filter, and a VFCIII fuel controller will give you power equal to the Goldwing with no loss of fuel economy. If you also add Lloydz ECU, you'll have better performance than the Goldwing.

There's fellow by the name of Kevin Cross (KevinX on here) up at Polaris of Gainesville, FL who can set you up right.

Thanks guys! I'm not so sure I want to mess with performance on this, it goes plenty fast enough. I never really ran my GoldWing very hard either, hardly ever saw redline. That's why I have the M109, when I play hooligan I ride that. It's faster than either of them lol...

Hey X,

I ride a 9 too. I'm looking at Visions so the wife can come along on rides. Can you provide some comparison to the 9 and Vision, power wise, how much would i be giving up? I'm hoping to be able to keep the 109, but i may have to ditch it. To be honest I want my wife to ride with me more than i want to keep the 109 if it comes down to it.

Thanks,

BING here and on M109Riders
