I've got S1L2 pipes. There are 3 screws at the back end which appear to hold the innards in there. I've looked up there and there are louvers in there. I wonder if I took them out and sawed off a foot or so if it would enhance the sound. Anyone done this? With good results, I mean? Right now they're only 'okay' under load, quiet at cruise, but have a phhhtt-y sound when I back off, which I don't care for-kinda Honda-esque, y'know? They don't have to be as loud as my buddy's Rhineharts, but I would dig it if they were throatier, I think.

Question on the Thrush mufflers, can I use the 6 shooter tips with those or are they a nightmare to put on? I love those tips and don't want to lose them or have to weld them.

Thanks

I have the Thrush 24205 on my 08. the tips of the Thrush are 2.25" - so if your shooter's will fit that size you should be fine.
