Las Vegas, NV | Nevada and the Vision was represented very nicley on the Tail of the Dragon on 06/12. Left Vegas and had 8 days of actual riding. It was the best and longest bike trip I had ever attempted and conquered. 4,550 miles roundtrip. The VV got very good mileage averaging bout 49-50 MPG without the trunk. Even drove from Albuquerque to Mansfield, LA to have dinner with atvtinker and his wife in a 15 1/2 hour ride. But had to share that the VV is the best, most dependable bike I have ever owned and ridden. Now with the combined mileage with my 2008 VV that I traded in for this VV, I am getting close to 85,000 miles. I know that sounds like just a little bit of cheating since its not on one bike, but I am still just as proud. The Dragon was awesome to say the least. Coming from the desert, there is NOTHING like that around here to compare to that 11 mile road. But the worst part of the Dragon was the INTIMIDATING TREE OF SHAME at Deals Gap. When I was there, the weather forecast was 80% chance of rain and it proved to also be correct with that forecast on 06/11. But I knew exactly what I was there for and the weather was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly a fantastic trip that was unbelievable for me to make. That trip will make the annual Sturgis run seem like an overnight bike ride now. If you haven't ridden the Dragon, put it on your bucket list. But, of course, now it's back to work and the reality of everything again. Hope everyone rides safe and always keeps an eye on the cages. |

flagstaff, AZ | Definitely post a few pics, an awesome trip for sure. Never thought I would ride 1500 miles just to " go for a ride"
