I have my I-phone hooked up the my '11 Vision to use as a GPS and listen to songs. If my radio is set to station 1 all my songs will play alphabetically, as it should. But if I have the radio set to any of the other radio stations my I-phone will either play songs alphabetically or pick an artist, play all the songs from that artist then move to the next artist and play all their songs etc etc. But the artist and songs are always in the exact same order. Even if my phone is set to play randomly it changes to one of these scenarios once plugged in. The phone won't let me make any changes if it is plugged in. But as it always starts with the same song I keep hearing the same songs over and over. And I don't get to listen to most of my other songs. I would like to get the songs to play in random order. But if I at least know how to scroll through many songs at a time I can at least hear something different. It sucks trying to scroll through hundreds of songs at a time one by one. I bought the bike used but it did not come with an owner's manual. I don't know if the issus is mentioned there. I did buy the shop manual but it does not address the issues I am having. My phone seems to work fine if plugged into anything other then my bike. Also, I have never created a playlist on my phone. I have 2700 songs on it but when plugged into the bike sometimes it only will register 901 songs on it. Once again this only happens when plugged into my bike. Any ideas? On Monday I am leaving on a week long trip with the wife and I don't want to have to listen to her music for the week. Thanks.

I always select and play my playlist or artist before I plug my iPhone into the bike. The bike starts playing what you selected and random/shuffle as you selected on the phone before you plugged it into the bike. This would solve your problems. You may want to create some playlists to help group songs you want to hear for a long trip. I don't mess with the bike controls except maybe to skip a song or play with the volume.

The problem is the way you have your iPhone set up. Follow the instructions on the link and all should be good.

If you want your playlists to play randomly, be sure to click on the crossed arrows at the bottom and they should work just fine.

The problem I seem to be having is that I will set up the iPhone to play randomly but once I plug it into the cable the iPhone just does what it wants. And once plugged in I am unable to make any changes. I did go into the forum that TMOE4U suggested. I found that I have the 7.09 version of the software. Does anyone have anything newer? The link also states I should be able to skip 10 songs at a time as well as individually. Once again my shop manual does not address this. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Do you have the white or the newer black cord that connects the iPhone to the bike. If you have the white one (earlier version), that is your problem. You need the newer black cord.

I have the same setup on my 2011 with the I4s phone. I have several play list were the songs play randomly. If i have it on the master list they play in order. Make play lists and the problem is solved. You can also select your list from the number pads on the dash. I also assume you have the Garmin $49 app installed on your phone.

I know its been awhile since this thread was started, but I have a 2012 VIC XCT, and initially I used my iTouch connected to the pigtail in my fairing box, and had no issues playing my music. I also set-up a couple playlists as a few people recommended, and worked great.

I have since bought a iPhone 4S, and will either set my playlist to "shuffle" or sometimes just start it, after plugging it into my pigtail, and haven't had any issues yet.

With that said, does anyone have any recommendations as far as Bluetooth Helmet Headset that I can use for my iPhone (primarily for music, not phone use), Bike Radio, and a future Garmin GPS purchase? I have also looked into the Garmin GPS App for my iPhone that appears to have most everything the actual Garmin Zumo has but a world less expensive. Going to do the USA 4 Corners Ride next May, and need to add a few bells and whistles to my bike.

I know, I'm a "XCT" Owner, but hey we're all "VICTORY" Owners, right???????

Thanks

Strike - you are better off starting a new thread for Bluetooth suggestions rather than hijacking this one. More people will see it.

As for playlists, name them with a numerical prefix like 01JeffsMix, 02RoadTunes, etc.
Selecting the radio preset #2 for instance, will play the 02RoadTunes playlist.
