pollolittle...your entirely welcome. It's what we do! I've read everything I can on this bike, and NO ONE has had any complaints.
mike s...I now hate you also. Just kidding.
The clunk.....ah the clunk. I just want to experience the CLUNK!
My E-Glide CLUNKS! It also make other assorted noises, none of which I want to live with anymore. WHERE'S MY VISION!?!

And the Smurfs....with the highlighter yellow.
Victory knows a winnning color combination! You might as well come over to the winning team while you still have the chance! My oldest daughter is mixed up with those Michigan people. I had to marry her off to a Sailor and get her out of the house before she currupted my 13 yr old! LOL
I hope Chad Henne comes back for the last game of the year, he's the "other" teams best player.

I'm looking for pictures men! Let's see the scooters!

The jacks in the glove box and tourpack are for the intercom system. It's all prewired for the optional CB radio setup.

Congrats to you Mike!

Thanks for the info on the trim panel.

The manual states the jacks are for charging cell phones etc. It states that the one in the glovebox is switched with the key and the trunk is hot all the time. I just verified this with my volt-meter and it is as they state.

I have 350 miles on it already and luvin it! The rain & deer slow me down but I'm not stopped.

Congrats to you lucky few that are actually riding your dream machines. It is obvious that the 500 mile break-in service is hitting very soon after purchase. We are all living vicariously through you guys. Keep the impressions and photos coming.

My dealer got a Black Street Premium in this week and I went in to check it out. I was there for about an hour and a half and one of the hardest things I've ever done was to walk away from that bike. I ordered a Red Tour Premium and it took every ounce of willpower I had to wait for what I really want. My bike is supposedly a victim of the trunk shortage. Probably arrive around the middle of November. My dealer will get a Silver Street Premium next and then my bike is due after that one. (My dealer ordered two Cherry Tour Premiums , mine and his demo bike, and they are actually being delivered third and fourth instead of first and second.)

Perfect weather in Memphis right now. I'm dyin'.

Good to meet you @ POG the other day. I'm happy you got one but am a little pi$$ed that the "pre-orders" weren't shipped first as Victory said they were going to be. Had a "false alarm" yesterday. My salesman called & said "your Vis is here".Then called back later to say "it's not your Vis but the one we ordered for dealer stock". Really bummed out now Luke

I removed the trunk last night just out of curiosity. I'm not sure that this is something we're going to want to do on a regular basis.

You first remove an access panel in front of the seat. That operation is easy enough. Then there are 2 allen screws attaching the front of the seat. These screws came out a little hard because of thread "goop" of some type. When re-installing one screw tightened right up before tightening down on the seat.

After the 2 screws are removed you lift the front of the seat and slide forward. There is an electrical connector for the heated seats if so equipped. There is also a connector for the wiring feeding the trunk that can now be disconnected.

You have to remove the license plate to access the two allen screws holding the license plate bracket on for removal.

Inside at the bottom of the trunk are 4 bolts securing the trunk to the bike frame. These bolts are also "Gooped" and come out hard. I dropped one of the bolts and it fell into a black hole. The trunk then lifts straight off amd can be set on the floor. The trunk balances precariously when on the floor so caution must be taken or it can be bumped over real easily.

The trim panel to fill the gap left by the trunk that didn't come with the bike is held in place by the "W" shaped piece that surrounds the tail-light assembly. Venturing into the "Black Hole" to find the bolt is how I came about removing the "W" panel. There are 4 or 5 spring clips on each side of the "W". In removing the trim one of the clips snagged and I had to pretty much force it's removal and bent it in the process. You're working with what feels like a fragile piece of plastic so it's difficult to use any force comfortably. After extricating the bolt from the black hole and re-installing the "W" I found one of the clips laying on the floor. I set it aside for the next time I have it apart.

The whole process wasn't bad but as I stated earlier "I'm not sure that this is something we're going to want to do on a regular basis."

On another note: The bike handles even better with the 40 pound trunk removed. I only rode it about 5 miles last night but I could definitely feel the difference.

Good information. I'm glad you found that screw. I know those black holes sometimes never give up what they have absorbed.

I know what you mean blwtf150. For those of us that have had to deal with the "Old American Motorcycle Co". This would have been an opertunity for Polaris to shine. I dont mind waiting for my bike, but better communication from Victory would have made the wait easier. New American Motorcycle Co., same old attitude. They could be head and sholders above the rest if they would just make a little extra effort to explain the situation.

.

How odd to hear, Visioneer. When I took my test ride the Vic engineer there opened the trunk, pointed out an electrical connector and 4 bolts situated in the deep well of the trunk and said, " all you have to remove the trunk is disconnect this and take out these four bolts."

I guess I'll have to see if I can do a little modifying to make mine easier when I finally get it.

The engineer is correct, that is all you have to do to "remove the trunk". But they put the connector under the seat. But to "install the trim panel" you have to remove the seat & license plate bracket and loosen the "W" panel.

You won't be alone in looking for an easier method.

I stand corretcted. I guess I'm gonna have to stop riding this thing long enough to read the manual. Thanks!

Here is what fits in those ports. They are powerlet ports. I believe the same ones used on the BMWs.
