I'm sure this has been brought up and I don't want this to turn into another "discontinuing the Vision" thread . but did anybody notice that the youtube video on the home page of Vision-Riders shows all the Victory bikes except the Vision. When the touring portion of the presentation comes up , the list the Vision but only show and boast about the XCT. Again, I don't care if they do discontinue it, I have one but there seems to be a noticeable push by Victory on the XCT (a very capable bike) while completely ignoring a bike that virtually every owner raves about. You'd think that the way owners talk up the Vision that they would really get behind it. I used to think that I needed Victory to continue the Vision so I would have one when I wore this one out but so many people don't ride much that I think I can always get a low mileage Vision when I need one. I bought my 08 with only 20K on the odometer on a 4 year old bike!. I love riding it so much that getting the miles up to a respectable number in relation to it's age is turning out to be very easy. 16K miles added by me since May 25th 2012

There is a very good explanation for Victory's push on the Cross Country and the Cross Country Tour. There is a current fad going through the motorcycle community of riding "baggers", basically bikes with saddlebags (hard or leather) and a fork mounted fairing. Just looks at the sales of the Harley Street Glide since it was introduced and you can see what direction the higher end bike craze is going. The frame mounted fairing bikes such as our Visions will always do better with those who truly "tour" on a motorcycle and not just use the storage to haul a case of beer to a party. Victory says that the Vision is still their flagship touring motorcycle but they are in the business of making money so they are going to push what sells best within the latest fad.

Yeah, I can see that. Most of my Harley riding friends have streetglides. Only one of them rides much at all. I would hate to have the same bike as everyone else.

There's only one Vision. Unless, of course, there happens to be another one.

Not much more can be said here on this yet but wait till you see the role of the new Vision in the 2014 line up.
