You're right of course Chris. Things are changing and not for the better. As evidenced by the most recent election cycle, the majority of the people in this country only care about themselves and what they can take for themselves without having to earn it. Even in Jasper, some of those can be found, but they are in the minority. Often, those people have moved here from elsewhere and are not "locals".

I've also lived in many parts of the country and a couple of foreign countries. I've spent a fair amount of time in the Northeast, having been based at different times at Ft. Ritchie, Maryland and Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey and working at bases and government buildings all over the general area, including the Pentagon. I was based at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and spent time in the Southwest. Ft. Gordon, Georgia and the South. I worked with a secure voice equipment installation team, so traveled a lot. I lived for a short time in Tennessee, as a civilian.

You are right about the small towns around the country and the people who inhabit them. They exist all over this country. They are rapidly becoming a dying breed and are certainly the minority today. I make a point of riding through the small towns and avoiding the big cities. A ride through the country is relaxing and enjoyable. A ride through a big city is exactly the opposite for me, whether it be on bike or in a car.

Not everyone that lives in the big city is the type of person that would defend the WBC, or just be apathetic to them. There are many good patriotic Americans there. Unfortunately, they are also becoming a minority in their own communities.

Norman Rockwell's America is fast disappearing. I worry about my Grandkids future and try to teach them my values. They get a lot of outside influences today and the sickness of the cities is as close as the TV set and the internet. The newer generation of teachers in our schools have been themselves indoctrinated by the Liberal agenda and it's hard to find an unbiased textbook anymore. One of my daughters is a teacher in our school, and she has to buck the Liberal trend.

So did anyone watch the movie? Thoughts? I watched it and thought they focused too much on the WBC. Would have like to see more actual mission footage. I think they got the message across though.

So goat wears a WBC patch? I didn't know they had patches (only retarded signs) and if he does wear a WBC patch, shame on him.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wear a local MC patch. No way affliated in any way with the WBC. Hate what they do, hate how they try to use God with what they stand for.

Furthermore I love what the PGR do and have supported them whenever the club or myself can. Just can't sport 2 patches.

I apologize, goat. I thought that's what you were saying. Guess I misread the posts. Who do you patch for? And GVR is mostly right. I have a PGR patch but it's not a required patch. It's something I choose to wear.

Are there any PGR's in the San Diego area on here? I have read some of what you guys do, and would be honored as a Navy Veteran to be able to honor my fellow service members. I'm in the same boat as some others here as I still work for the Navy as a civilian, and travel a lot so participation will be hit and miss.

Thanks for what you guys do.

Strike. Do a google search. I believe they have an official website you can sign up on and get information via email when they have an event to attend.

Strike.....Also look up the American Legion. Some posts also have Riding Clubs (not MC). ALR often participates in the same missions as PGR.
