Black is the absence of color so it must be faster because it is gone already. White has to be present for the color to occur so therefore it has not left yet.

One can say sunset red, like the view of our taillights off in the distance.

I would love to see a new model Indian based on the inline 4! I would get in line for that. As for the Rocket 3. It's too dang heavy! Takes a real hernia inspiring effort to get off the stand and I don't like the seat height/width and ergos. I always thought it was cool but after sitting on it, no way I see one in my future. Contrastly, I got off of it , walked over and sat on a Triumph America and it had a really light feel when righted and the ergos were better for me. My Vision can be difficult to right if I put the stand down on a decline. I'm going to lower it in the Spring, Lord willing.

Back in 2007 I rode my Triumph Speedmaster to a bike event. That day I also rode my buddy's little Honda standard (don't remember the model) and test rode the R3. Of all those, the Honda was the most fun! The R3 the least fun!

Also that day, a guy rolled into the event on a red Vegas. Remember, back in those days it was much rarer to see a Victory! I was smitten, and we went out and got our first Victory Kingpin a month or 2 later.

That being said, the Speedmaster was also a great mid-size cruiser. But after riding a Victory, the Speedmaster got traded in on a Vegas.

So it looks like the new 2013 Victory model may be a redress of an existing bagger (based on dave shelleny's post from Victory). I predict a flat painted 15th anniversary XCT. You heard it here.

Today was the Long Beach IMS and Vic was supposed to let people hear what the new Indian motor is going to sound like. Did anybody go? I can't find anything on the interwebs bout it.

I learned a little trick on picking the bike off the stand from my short wife who learned it from a ladies forum. When you pick the bike up off the stand straighten the handlebars and grab the lower side of the gas tank with your left hand. When you pick up, use your left and left hand together and the bike will come up easily.

My guess is in the next 6 months you will see new Indians with bigger motors and more HP. Best guess on size is between 110-120 CI putting out 100+ HP and 120+ Ft Lbs of TQ. The Victory side needs a smaller bike for new riders. My guess is they will put out a bike in the 800 cc to 1000 cc range.

I was thinking of a V-4 packaged like a Yamaha V-Max. Just a longer stroke engine to make more Tq............ You know the "new" V-Max engine is 102 cu inches, and makes about 170 HP stock. Revs too high for a heavy touring rig though. just stroke it and bring the top revs down to 8000 then it would have the needed guts down at 2000.............

Great minds think alike. I have often wished that the Vision had a V-4 like the V max. Talk about a wing killer. Liquid cooled, comfy, and freaking fast as hell. It's an engine the Vision deserves. Yea, that would kill all the Wingers for sure!!!

Boys, don't be stuck on the legend of Harley's V Twin like everyone else. Besides, the V Max is a big V Twin. With 170 HP!

I'm not stuck on the legend of Harley V Twin. Don't
care for Harleys, never have. Imho they are over priced, over rated and under reliabe. I have always rode Hondas in the past. Thisis the frist bike I have owned
That isn't a Honda. I have had three Shadows. I like the feel of a V Twin and the sound. A deep low growl instead of the high pitched screem of the 4 cylinders. Theyseem to pull hard right from the bottem, no sudden burst at 3-5grand.

You might want to double check that, Max. The V Max is a V 4, not a V Twin. Always has been, as far as I know.
