Is vinyl wrapping a decent option instead of painting your bike? It was brought to my attention recently that you could vinyl wrap instead of painting and in time replace or remove the vinyl easily. There are several websites out there on the topic but do any of you know someone who has vinyled instead of painted their bike? Pictures

I was wondering about the same thing. I wouldn't so much as change my whole bike but maybe add like graphics that could be removed after time or changed to something else.

They use approved wraps on 'specially marked' airliners (that stay put at 600 MPH and -70f temperatures for months) and city busses, no one paints a race car anymore as it's easier (and lighter) to tear off the wrapper when you switch sponsorship markings for different races. It's about a push as far as cost, time to hit the phone book yellow pages.

Thanks for the input and link, something to consider instead of paint.

Here's a link to Rupert's tie-dye wrapped 8 Ball Vision. I looked into wraps and they're an option if you wanted to spend the money but not commit completely to a paint scheme- a good paint job is still my preference.
