I have a 11 VV 8 ball. I'm taking the wife with me to Sturgis this year. I need to buy a passenger back rest. Which one do I buy? Victory? Witchdoctors? Other?

Thank you for any help.

I have the Utopia. It is a bit bigger then the Victory version. So it is not as sleek looking but I like the added support. It also has a removable little bag attached to the back of it. So you can store small items and take them with you off the bike if you want. If I recall correctly the price was pretty similar to the price of Victory's backrest and backrest mount combined. The Utopia product includes the mount. Unless you want to keep a sleeker look I would recommend it.

Thank you. Do they also make a passenger back rest? That's what I'm looking for.

I have the new Victory one. I think both are good products but Witchdoctor tends to be out of stock most of the time. If you can wait, save some money and go with the Witchdoctor otherwise bit the bullet and order a Victory one.

Sorry. Missed the passenger part. Not sure if Utopia makes a backrest for the passenger. You can check their website.

Buy a trunk, it will bolt right on, the best for long trips with a passenger.

Ditto, on the trunk. you can find them used for a decent price and well worth it.

I agree about the trunk, My wife doesn't get to ride with me too much so it's rarely on the bike but it's less than 15 minutes for me to put it on or take it back off.
First link on e-bay http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-2008-POLARIS-VICTORY-VISION-TRUNK-LUGGAG... It may cost a bit more, but in the end it will be infinitely more useful.

I agree with the trunk as well. My old lady loves it. Says with the trunk it's like being in a recliner. You can even get armrests for her.

Trunk is nice and convenient. However, it's pricey and makes the bike feel like a whole different animal. 40 lbs. for the trunk empty.... up high on the bike. Then with loading.... Not terrible, but a totally different feel. I like the convenience of my trunk but I like the handling without. I'm also looking for a passenger backrest so that the wife gets the comfort and I get the maneuverability and handling.....
