WOW! I have never seen so many people on this site at the same time. At one point there where 53 online.

Do you think they all want to see the new 2009 Victory lineup? That's it for me . . . I'm going to bed, I'll check it in the morning.

Vision stuff to come. It's still downloading from the camera. In the meantime:

The 2009 Hammer, Hammer S and Jackpot have a new version of the Freedom 106/6. It has Stage 2 Cams, which let the engine breathe longer and more fully, extending the power curve before it drops off. The published numbers are 97 hp and 113 ft-lb of torque. Don't believe it? Dyno it. Victory prefers to play it safe with its published dyno numbers rather than overstate. Other than that valvetrain change, the rest of the engine is identical to the 106/6 in the Victory Visions. No difference in oil, maintenance, etc. FYI, the Freedom 100/6 numbers are 85 hp and 106 ft-lb of torque. With the engine change, the Hammer, Hammer S and Jackpot get a 14% jump in power from '08 to '09.

This bike was built by Roland Sands, the former motocross racer and hot young bike builder. He'll be doing some custom work with Victory. This Vegas 8-Ball he styled should be on the IMS show circuit this winter.

Yes, looks are subjective, but I'll say the Cory Ness Signature Series Vegas Jackpot is stunning. It's a really cool look created with essentially black and white. When a guy knows how to use just two "colors," it creates a great look. With the 106/6 engine, the cool black "Landshark" wheels and the special taillight, this is one of the best Ness models yet.

Zach Ness, Cory's son, is in the bike-building business and will be working with his dad, grandfather and Victory on Victory styling projects. Zach has built a custom Kingpin that should be on the IMS show circuit this winter.

Wow! I think the Ness Jackpot is stunning! Great looking bike.

And the Sands model, the more I look at it, the more I like the blacked-out look. Yeah, it doesn't look like every other cruiser, and it may not be for me, but kudos for something different. I could see this appealing to a much younger crowd than the typical cruiser/touring folks.

Here, at long last (look for better photos on the Victory website):

The 10th Anniversary Victory Vision is an extremely limited edition: 100 built. Period. It's Antares Red with black accents and gold pinstriping – just like No. 1 10 years ago. It's also loaded: Chrome everywhere, billet wheels and sprocket, and standard equipment such as (but not limited to): Reverse, CB & communications system with one headset, XM Radio, iPod card, GPS and mount, liners in the trunk and side compartments, luxury electronics (heated seat, grips and electric windshield) and 10th anniversary badging along the side (spelled out) and above the taillight (the V-shaped 10th logo).

If you look at Build and Quote, the reverse gear (and other new options, but not ABS that I could find) is available as $1,399 option.

ah...I didn't see it under "other" the first time thru. They call it a "kit" - sounds like it is dealer installed. Too bad there is no ABS. I came from a BMW LT, and I loved the ABS in the rain.

Scott also drags the Vision floorboards while riding in tight circles in the parking lots at the demo rides.

Are they announcing any new Vision options ???

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks Mike for that exclusive look at the 2009 lineup! Great photos to boot! Hope you all had a good time watching this thread, I unfortunately was on a red-eye back to Boston from Seattle and could only imagine what was going on. Thanks again to our man on the scene Mike Dapper.
