I just purchased the gps victory mount and a 2720 garmin on ebay. Can someone tell me how hard it is to install the gps. Is there already instructions posted somewhere in the forum. I looked but maybe overlooked it. Specifically, how do you take off the center console. Thanks for any advice

The console removal is covered in this thread in the Tech Reference forum:

Has anybody else installed the gps themselves. Have you run into any problems.

I installed mine myself. Easy. The wiring just plugs in. You will find the wire for it capped, and under the console area once you remove it. After you take the console apart, you will see that there are marks where you will need to drill the mounting holes. Really pretty easy.----Metalguy

Dumb question on the GPS mount. . . .

I have the 2720, (and haven't torn the console apart) - what is the cabling like? Is there a power cable, and a separate cable for the audio?

I don't see anywhere to hook up external audio on the 2720, unless it's through the USB port on the unit.

Do I need to buy additional cables like I did when I installed the iPod?

So many questions.

Nevermind. I'm an idiot. Got it figured out.

Don't worry about it. For me it was pain the a$$ to find that cable harness. Took me about a 1/2hr to figure out it was hidden underneath the main cable run.
