Austin, Texas | I don't have the bike yet and am debating on the Victory intercom (vs. another brand). The main question I have is whether you can simply turn off the speakers on the bike and have everything come through the headsets. Is this possible?

Fargo, ND | Kevin, To answer 1/2 of your question...yes you can turn the speakers 'on' & 'off'. Sorry I don't have the intercom and don't know the answer about the headsets. |

Jasper, MO | You can turn the speakers off. You can also have both the fairing speakers and the headset speakers turned on while listening to the stereo, which gives better sound than fairing speakers only or headset speakers only. The CB and Intercom only come through the helmet speakers.

I ‘m sure you are aware of it but just in case.
The Victory intercom is part of the CB radio.
I like mine and have no real complaints. CB works and sounds great and I couldn't live without the intercom (momma and I like to flirt with each other)
The Victory intercom has voice activation that is adjustable (it's darn nice). You push a button to talk on the CB radio (that button has something to be desired though)

Push and hold down the Icom button until it comes up on your radio display. Then use the volume button to increase or decrease it.

VA | ebayjoe, indiana is partly right. You hold down the ICOM buttong and the radio display will show a VOX control. Use the ICOM (goes down) and the CB (goes up) to adjust the setting of the VOX. I have to play with it every now and then. Sometimes, it just opens when neither my wife and I speak. But, when it's one or two higher, it sometimes cuts off during speech. |

Dale, Indiana | Most of the button adjustments I learned by pushing and holding down a button and then saying Hmmmm so it can do this.
Glad I was half right. I thought of my answer and knew I should have gone down in the garage and sat on the bike and tried it again.
I do find some answers in the owner's manual. But real men push buttons and read manual 6 months later.

San Antonio, TX | I can not get the Intercom/CB to come up on my display(or do anything). If I turn off the speakers I do not hear anything in the headsets. Do I have to do anything special to turn on the Intercom/CB?
I just had it installed and the installation kooks great. Maybe a connector came loose on the way home. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The dealer is closed till Tuesday but I was thinking that this is something simple or stupid on my part that can be corrected with some help of fellow Vision-Riders.
Does anything connect to the two connectors (A one male and one female connector near the CB multi-pin connector that looks like they would mate up but the wires are too short to plug them together) that hang off of the CB? Maybe they are for the CD-Player.

San Antonio, TX United States | You may want to take your seat off and the center console and check the connection for the wire harness that was added to accomadate the CB/Intercom. The CB module should plug in on one of the connectors under the passenger. You are correct that the other connector is for the CD player. I would bet that there is just a bad connection. |

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | The CB and Intercom only come through the helmet speakers. Ronnie That's a gripe of mine with the Polaris CB.... Sometimes, on road trips, I just like to monitor the CB for truck chatter, etc. Not necessarily talk on the headset. Iy sure would be nice to be able to just listen to it through the speakers, also, like in the "Ent. mixed mode"

Jasper, MO | I agree. I was able to have the CB come through he fairing speakers on my Goldwing. It was particularly handy whenever we were expecting to meet someone somewhere, such as in a campground. I would just leave the CB on and would hear the other party ask for our location without having to actually be on the bike. I also had the accessory hand mike (J&M), so could answer without getting on the bike. Of course, these days, everybody has cell phones.

I don't. Nor do I plan on ever having one. I think cell phones are a classic example of how mankind can create something that should have been a great invention, yet turn it into something evil and horrific. A good idea gone terribly wrong.
