I Installed the VFC and didn't turn on cause not sure what I need to do? We did get the blinking on the VFC3 which shows it has power. Lloyd sent an email saying to use the base map which is down below...But I'm confused? Does this come progammed on the VFC controller already? For love of me I don't get how to adjust VFC Controller? How do I program it to all 8 LED's? Baseline has six codes but there's 8? Sorry but I really don't get it?
Also I'm confused on this baseline below? Does this make sense for my set current set up?
S1L1 exhaust/With flutted tips, K&N Filter, Mapped, Intake plate, IAC control valve.

Lloyd's directions from guideline sheet:
Baseline settings for the Victory unit will come through at:
Green3, Yellow3.5, Red3.3, Green/Blue 0, Yellow 3.5, Red/Blue 1
These are for: Stg1 ex No D/L-?K&N

What do I do once I turn on bike? Plan on putting it all back together tommorow and maybe see how it will run?

Can someone help me with set up instructions in good detail?

Glady appreciated!!!

Thanks!!

If I'm not mistaken, when you turn power on to the bike it will only blink just like yours is doing. You must start the bike in order for the lights to indicate the run condition, then you cycle through the 6 different color stages to set each step of his map. The 8 leds show the settings of each color. I also believe you correctly assume that it comes pre-set with Lloyd's base map you have shown. If you have had your dealer flash the cpu with a Stage 1 upgrade, you need to have him set it back to the stock map in order for the Lloyds controller to work properly. Once you start the bike, you should easily be able to dicipher the programming. If not, ask again.

Ok so let me get this? The 8 LED is the combination of the base map? That will equal all 8 LED's.

I had mentioned to Lloyd it was Flashed and with my set up and he said to use to the base map.
What I don't get it says in the instructions says it's comes with BASE LINE already? Does that mean I don't need to do anything but start the bike? Do you think I should be worried if its flashed? Lloyd is aware of it?
Thanks for your response!

I'm going to try to get to Lloyd in Daytona. I just got a Vision with it already installed. I don't see a big performance differance from my old Vision. I do see 36 mpg on the bike with an actual milage of 32.9. Also black exhaust and puffs of black smoke when you crack the throttle. Instructions don't make sense to me either. I'm afraid to just start turning things down. Don't want to lean it out too much and damage something. If Daytona wasn't so close I'd just yank it out.

When the bike is running, one of the buttons will cycle through each of the 6 colors or color combos. The color tells you which range you are adjusting. The up and down program buttons then adjust the settings for each color, adjustable in half steps. When you are adjusting, the red LEDs will go from a solid red (lowest setting or zero) to 1 blinking, 1 & 2 blinking (equals 1-1/2) 2 blinking, 2 & 3 blinking (2-1/2) etc., etc. all the way up to the #8 one solid red (highest setting, or 8). Even with the stage 1 flash, Lloyds base settings will work. I would definitely have the bike re-flashed to stock before you start adjusting, or you'll have to do it over again once you do.  You do need to refer to Lloyd's instructions as far as which of the 6 colors is controlling what.  Depending on your installed components, some would be set to ZERO or disabled.  Anyway, hope this helps.

Sounds like your bike is running pretty rich. I don't believe you can lean the VFCIII out too much and damage something. The VFCIII only adds fuel to compensate for the added air flow that changes to intake, exhaust, and cams create. The VFCIII is not capable of subtracting fuel. If everything was set to zero on the VFCIII, the bike would be running strictly on the map in the factory ECU. You can disconnect the ground lead to the VFCIII, and the bike won't even know the VFCIII is there. In other words, you can disconnect the ground to the VFCIII and the bike will be running on whatever map is in the ECU as a result.

I've been told that the stock factory ECU map is the best starting point for adding and tuning a VFCIII. If someone had a Stage 1 map, and then added the VFCIII on top, it's probably too rich.

Thanks. Not sure if it has stock map or what. I got the bike with big Honkers, VFC 3, and either a twin sucker or intake plate. Not sure which but I hear it breathing at idle. I guess I'll bite the bullet and pay $90 to have radio updated and have that put to stock if it's not already. I miss my tunes.
Base settings are all the way down or does that vary? Also my actual mileage was alway off a couple of mpg's off from onboard reading. This bike is 4-6 mpg off. Is that the VFC causing that? After riding today bike said 40.2. Actual was 35.9.

I just turned mine on and everything sounded great and Clean. Took awhile to start as I've been working on it fro two days...When I did give it some throtle and got a bit of black smoke but I was working on the bike and had turned the throtle a few times and thinking this might be the cause also I will have to drive it? I did not do anything to VFC and when it gets safe to ride around here I will give a swirl and go throgh the mode to see what exactly is going on?
IAC is a plus the Idled beautiful, but putting those injectors can pay may enough to them again?
Lol...
Intake plate is definetly noticeable but cool sounding!!!
Not worried about Not listening to my music as with my New Infinity 5032cf Speakers all around, plus my Amp Alpine KTP-445 I will have turn the radio down to hear the intake!!!

I will change oil spark plugs before I start riding. In that note what is the Gap for the spark plugs?

Thanks for all the input!!!
