Where is the best place to get the service manuals for the Vision? Dealer? Ebay? Or other?

By "best" I mean quickest and also reasonably priced. I read a lot of posts here where folks have been waiting for service manuals to arrive. I'm willing to pay a dollar or two more to get one a bit quicker.

Is there just one manual that covers everything? Or are there seperate ones for the drivetrain and electrical and so on? Is there a diagnostic manual?

Does Clymer or anyone else print a manual?

Any available on disc or in PDF? Or just printed form?

I love tearing things apart and seeing what I can play with. However I've learned that having the manuals do make things much easier on the mind, hands and most importantly...wallet.

The Victory Vision service manual that I ordered through my dealer has not only a DVD enclosed but large electric diagrams. I couldn't have done the mods/accessories I've put on w/o it! part# 9921254. I don't remember how much it cost me but worth every $ IMHO.

From the dealer, mine ran $59.99 (they give me 10% off for ~$54.00). The PDF on the disc is color where the book is just black and white.

I beleive I paid $50 but mine did not come with the eCopy DVD. One manual covers every system thoroghly. I have done various searches on eBay for "Victory Vision" and do not recall having the service manual come up. Occasionally, a few OEM parts will come up. eBay has some pretty good prices on aftermarket stuff. I just got a sweet deal on some new J&M speakers for about half of what other folks have been getting them. But the OEM parts that come up haven't been offered with the same kinds of discounts (when you figure in the S&H gouge that most power sellers are providing). You won't find a 3rd party from anyone like Clymer or Haynes for this bike yet but if you did, they wouldn't offer a better one. Some of the schematics are fold-out, just like a front line technician would expect to have. Here is a thread that discusses some pretty good discounts for OEM parts: http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1618&pos...
I read someone posted a place that offers 20%+free S&H. That's a pretty good deal and I'll probably order a couple accessories from them (maybe another service manual, if that's what it takes to get the .pdf version). Be sure to have them confirm that the manual comes with a the DVD. Mine did not but it may have been a different part #.

I've had one on back-order from my dealer for the last month. They call me every week, apologize, and tell me that Victory is still "running a it behind."

Supposedly, the third-party printer/supplier is the bottleneck.
