1) Has anyone drilled a hole on either the triangular piece of plastic in front of the
seat, or up on the console for a traditional 12v socket? I have a J&M IntegratR
intercomm system that eats 8 AAAs in about 4 hours. They have an accessory
12v hookup, and I know where I will put a socket on the Kawasaki, but wondered
where on the Vision. Any pictures in the Gallery?

2) What is the gray & pink wire in front of the seat, underneath the panel? I remember
it being posted before, I just don't remember the most important part. LOL I believe it
to be an available 12v source.

Thank you, Herb

Yes! The demo bike in Tulsa, OK has the powerlet right in the console of the bike. There is plenty of room at the bottom of the panel for it and the audio jack (I can vouch for that). The tap that you're talking about is precisely 12VDC that is also key switched. It should be great for running your icom without draining your batt. when you are not running the bike (unless you leave the key on!). I beleive thet pink/grey is + but I'm not 100% and I'm offshore so I can't really check it from here. Maybe someone can help g1 out and confirm which side is positve?

bigewil5150 is correct it is a 12v switched connection. my dealer used it to put 2 12v ciragette lighter style outlets side by side at the base of the console where it meets the removable triangular cover. i tried to get a matching plug from the local radio shack with no luck but i guess you could remove the existing plug and use other concetors.

I used that power source to power my Sirius receiver. I cut the cigarette plug off the power source for receiver and soldered two male ends on, to slide into the power supply. Works great.

If all else fails, 2 individual blade type crimp connections will fit into the ends of the harness securely. It works well but isn't the most professional looking job. It got me by until I found the correct type connector at an auto parts store (it still took some "persuasion" because the connector seems to be a tad bit different than the Victory harness). Hope this helps a little.
