LaPorte,Tx. | I too bought a maintenance program when I purchased the bike, seemed like a good deal. Full scheduled service up to and including the 30000 mile service, cost $1100. Now my problem is I don't believe they do the service when I leave the bike. If I wait for an oil change I can watch them, but for the 15000 mile service I left the bike for three days, I have too many indication on the bike that the front forks were not touched. So money paid, is down the drain as the service was not performed. The only thing I do have is an invoice stating the work was completed.........and that is important, even though it wasn't.
Some of you may have had this happen, but when you go back to trade in a motorcycle, normally the dealer will ask for service records and if regular scheduled maintenance has not been done, you will get less for your trade in.  |

Madison, AL | All the horror stories I read in the various forums makes me appreciate my dealer/service center more and more. I had my 5K service done, replaced the rubber thing on the kickstand, recall work done on the ignition, had the screw hole I stripped out on the right hand mount that holds the seat down, tapped and a new screw inserted for less than $200.
I stopped by the dealership last week after returning from a festival trip. I complained about not having a hat to block the sun, so they gave me a Victory Cap. Black one with the color victory logo and a few flames.
I ordered the solo tour pack and when I went to pick it up there were only two tie-down straps in the package not the four listed in the instructions. Pete the owner came out looked at it quickly then went back in the dealership only to return with two straps and news of what he learned talking to the Polaris Parts folks. (I don't like the straps and will make my own out of nylon straps and some hook and loop fasteners.)
I don't get by the dealership much since it is in Kentucky and I live in Tennessee. However, each time I go in they all know my name and ask how the bike is doing and even come out and look at it.
They are so nice I feel obligated to buy merchandise from their store. Even then they always give me 10% off anything I purchase. When I first got the bike I purchased a J&M headset but the connector did not fit he Vision, it was for the small mobile CB unit. Even though they had a sign that stated absolutely no returns on electronic items, they swapped it out on the spot for the Victory Headset and gave me the difference in cash. The Parts guy said he should have known better.
All I can say is that JPM Performance Powersports in Hopkinsville, KY is outstanding. I go out of my way to purchase stuff from them even if it is a little more expensive.

I like that better than $320.00, but next time I'm doing my own.
