Alberta, Canada | So yesterday I managed to get in about 400 K!! For this part of the country, (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, just north of Montana) if we can ride in October we are lucky, let alone November 24th. When we started out it was about 10 degrees C, (50 degrees F) and ended up being 0 degrees C or 32 degrees F. A little on the cool side but since I was dressed for it and I have the heated seats and grips, it was still a very pleasureable trip!! My buddy on his Ultra Classic froze!! So basically the only thing stopping me from riding is SNOW!! I envy you guys and gals who can ride year round. It's going to be a long winter!!! Got my Vision the last weekend in August and have put over 6300 K on her and not an ounce of trouble! I can't wait for next riding season. Happy riding! |

Northeastern Penna. | Hey Plumley,don't fret. Think positive,spring will be here before you know it. Living here in Northeastern Penna. the winters are not as drastic as your neck of the woods,but we have our share of cold weather. I'm still riding, very nice with the heated seats/grips. Ride safe! |

New Bohemia, VA | Well if it will make you feel any better I won't see my World Class Touring Vision until Tuesday. My daughter and her brood is coming up for Thanksgiving and we're going together to my folks house. I took mine to the care center to have the second rear tire put on and have the warranty work done on it. I told the dealer I want it back TUESDAY. I reminded him I'm not like a typical Harley riders in this area and put their bike up for the winter. I shared with him what a guy I work with that rides a Harley told me. Me and him are somewhat alike as neither of us has a garage. I park mine out and cover it for the night. He has a covered trailer and parks his in there. I told him that being a Harley rider keeping it in a trailer didn't surprise me none. I'll give it to him though, he's one of the few Sportster riders I know that has rode the distance from Fort Carson, Co to the East Coast, so we can share a good laugh. |

Victoria, BC | Plumley, you should consider moving to Vancouver Island. We ride all year here. Only a couple of Visions that I heard of (no dealer yet on the Island, but I've heard that Victory is looking).
In the last year, Victoria has some of the lowest unemployment numbers in Canada.
The riding scenery here is awesome, & if we do see snow, it's gone very quickly.
The only downside is that Insurance Corporation of BC (government insurance) rates are too high, but at least we can ride 12 months of the year.

But I love it every time I get over there. Maybe see you on the road, 'eh?
OH, and all my roads end in a snowbank at a summit - at this time of year.

And the smoke from your burning houses makes your eyes water, and ....

So Cal | People thought I was nuts for riding in the rain and 60 degrees. In LA people calm down in the rain and it actually takes less time to get where Im going. In LA when it his 50, people break out the parka's |

Victoria, BC | I love all of the Westcoast - British Columbia right down to California. Haven't been to Alaska or Baja yet. Most of our vacations have been down south (same time zone). Haven't been past Alberta since I was little toddler (Dad was born in Sask.)

| The season is basically over here in Maine by my rules. Rule #1 If the roads have been sanded and salted look forward to riding the snowmobile. There are other rules but there are subjective to how sturcrazy I get. |

LaPorte,Tx. | Took a 200 mile run out north of Houston yesterday. 48 degrees, not bad compared to you folks up north, but having the seat (low) & grips (high) on made it a fairly comfortable ride. If Victory ever makes a back rest with for the heated seat, it would be great if it too was heated. Also, they should think about heating the back rest on the lower trunk half. |

All but one and only because rides a Vision (lol) I just checked the weather there and it's -36 degrees burrrrr. Have you looked at a map? That town is 250 miles from absolutely nowhere. He tells me his riding season starts sometime in May and runs thru sometime in September not bad for the location I guess.

Like the one on the BMW LT I sold to get the Vision? Yeh...I got reminded about that missing feature my better half when I flipped on the seat heat one day last fall and she noticed the dif. |
