Snow below 1000 feet is now mostly gone. Replaced by heavy FOG !!!! Can't buy a break. Drive up the hills into sunshine - and snow. Or stay in the fog - at 35 F

Well, there were to valid reasons if I may justify myself that I did not ride this morning. We had a winter storm warning for today  and the idiots that don't know how to drive even when it normal driving conditions

That's why I did my little diddy because I'm ready just to go out right now to take a spin. Their calling for an over night of a balmy 17 degrees and clear with a high of 36 tomorrow, so right now it is a Go from Houston.

And yes SF, I rub it in at work about how I had plenty of space to park to my hardcore Wingerman. He hangs fairly good and has definetly more miles on two wheels than I, to include turning over a 100,000 miles on his 2003 Illusion Blue. But he's got his limit, anything below 32 is a no go, ice may be on the road...

SongFan,

I rode 358 miles with two of friends yesterday. Temps ranged from 55 to 78. San Antonio down 181 to Port Aransas for a stop at Shorty's Bar at Fisherman's Wharf. From there we went to Corpus Christi for a stop at Knuckleheads. Knuckleheads was a really nice motorcycle bar and BBQ place.

Finally a speed run home to San Antonio via IH37.

I did have MANY BUGS soil my clean Vision!!!!

Ride Safe!

6 - You don't dread wearing safety gear

Love cooler weather because of this too.

5 - Engine heat is your friend

And that is nice for a change

3 - Passing all the pickup trucks with big logo's from that other brand in their rear window

I always feel that way too. I always try to make sure they see my other brand out driving while their ride is parked.

1 - NO BUGS!

This does make cleaning easier, and less frequent.

I also think a ridden bike will outlast, or have less problems, than a sitting bike.

We've been having what they call frozen fog the past couple of mornings. It's just around 30 degrees, but foggy. When the temperature fluctuates, there are patches where the "mist" on the road just turns to ice. Black ice. Hit some this morning... pucker factor of only 8.5 cause I saw the sheen on the road and was going straight and slow, but still... wakes'ya right up.
