I finally saw my new Vision today -it was being preped at the dealers and I was in the back talking to the wrench doing it. It was basically stripped down to the frame-he is putting on a rear sprocket so all the back stuff has to come off. It is great to see your bike this way as it gives you some idea of how things look and work underneath all of the body work. Should be delivered on Fri comming. Its been a long winter but now its time to ride.

I picked the black premium tour-recently retired and was fortunate to get a decent severance package so I went nuts with accessories. Lots of chrome and goodies.

If they where just preping a new Vision why would they be putting on a rear sprocket? Plus the fact the whole back end does not have to come apart to replace the rear sprocket or tire. All that has to be done is undo the single bolt on the mono shock and the whole back wheel drops down.

I too am very curious at what state of assembly your bike arrived? Mine arrived at the dealer the other day, however, when I was negotiating for accessories I was told that the bike arrives from the factory pretty much together and that was why installing some of the accessories were so labour intensive because of all the disassembly that had to be done...

Of course due to the distance I would have to travel it is not possible for me to just dash off to see it.......Or I would have been there helping them unload it.......

Congrats.
I am sure that you will be the envy of Albert street and Wascana park. ( If thats where everyone cruises and hangs out these days. We did in the 70's when I was in high school in Regina).
I hope the weather gets better soon.

GO RIDERS.

Jim

Well that's where does of us who live in Regina cruise, not sure if someone from Guelph Ontario would want to. Hey if any of you are in Regina the motorcycle meeting spots are Wascana Park in front of the Legislature or Burger Baron on Albert Street.

Doesnt need a new sprocket but I am having a chrome sprocket put on to match the chrome wheels. Pipes are also being replaced-chrome rear trim etc. Dont know why it is being dismanteled but I will asked on Tues when I go in to have a look. A bit far from Guelph to Regina for a coffee.

Yes I would ask them why they had to tear the back apart to install a chrome sprocket. Like I said all that needs to be done to change the rear tire or sprocket is to remove the single bolt on the mono-shock that holds the swing arms and the back end drops down.

Hey anytime you want to drop by for coffee just let me know Probie.
