G'Day.
I just did a search and I believe I am probably the first Australian member to post on this site.
At the risk of pushing anybody aside that might think they have a right to that title, I am also sober at 10:00 in the morning.
I bought a Vision Street Premium a couple of months ago from the great new Dealership in Melbourne, Victoria.
On the 4th April, the dealership is hosting the first sponsered run, two groups are leaving the shop and riding to Bright, about a 5 hour trip, if you stop for drinks along the way.
We are all staying the night at a hotel and the dealer is even gunna shout a drink or two.
I'm plan to take full advantage of that offer.

If any of the Melbourne Victory owners are reading this and dont know about it, get out from under that rock.
The ride is leaving in 2 groups, a 10:00 AM group and a 4:00 PM group.
I will post pics of this historic event for all the world to see.

Meanwhile, as the only Australian member here, feel free to ask me about anything Australian, the price of beer, the cost of a litre of petrol, why our women are so much better than yours, and other really meaningful things.

Thanks for the cheerful post.
Sounds like a fun ride.
I always wanted to ride the coast of Australia. Maybe now that Victory is there I might be able to rent one for the trip? What do you figure about a month to do it? I don't drink so that should save 3 or 4 months. :P

I am sure you will enjoy you Vision. I love mine.
Keep posting.

Welcome Ollie! We're happy to have Vision-Riders represented down under. As Victory expands in Australia, I'm hoping that more of your neighbors find the site. Enjoy your Vision!

Welcome to the Olfart downunder. Not that I have a bucket list or anything, I was hoping to visit the outback before I left this ol' earth, and now, even ride a Vision with an Aussie or two.

...I am also sober at 10:00 in the morning.

Heh, reminds me of a article I read once that stated that February is the month with the lowest consumption of beer in Australia. 'Course, it's the month with the fewest number of days... :P

Welcome to the site and welcome to the Victory Vision club! I'll hoist a mug in your honor!

By the way, like so many other folks, my dream vacation is a month or two riding around Australia.

Greetings Olfart!

I was over in WA (Perth) on business about 6 months ago and traveled to Brisbane to meet a vendor afterward. I had plenty of XXXX while I was there and even got a rugby game in while there for 10 days. It was interesting to see folks drinking at lunch (not typically acceptable here in the states while working). I'll be honest, we Americans need to learn from our Aussie friends on how we need to work and treat others. They are much more laid back and generally more friendly to everyone.

I was going to rent a bike and make a run down to Gold Coast, but Vics weren't there yet and I couldn't bring myself to riding an HD (I don't fit on them - 6'4" and 240lbs).

Cheers!

John
