Geez, I used to wash my VTX at the self serve high pressure car wash and never had a problem.

Hope you enjoyed Thunder Beach, we really had a big crowd this year, more venues, etc.  Funny how when you live here it's not such a big deal.

Just a word of caution, NEVER pressure wash your bike. It is possible to blow water by wheel bearing, swing arm and any other seals and you would never even know it until it's to late. If I do wash my bike, I don't even use a nozzle on the hose.
Just a friendly heads up.

I bought the bike in late Sept 08 and haven't washed it yet...I use spray detailer on it a couple times and wipe the windshield off when I put her up.

If it's nice enough to wash the bike, then it's nice enough to ride -- so, probably not as often as a lot of people on the board.

Catagory "D". I find if I do it often it only takes a few minutes. I found a new product at a bike show in Calgary called "Purple Splice" and it is simply amazing!!!! I believe that a $25000.00 bike deserves to look brand new all of the time, plus it shows on lookers that I take pride in my ride and like to show off my Vision!!!

Agree with Flatsix--cannot beat that Honda spray cleaner.
Wash mine after long day of riding and bug killing--otherwise, touchup with the cleaner.

I have heard great things about the Honda spray cleaner, but was curious how it did on plastic. Also, I heard it was no longer Honda cleaner, but something called Amrep spray cleaner. Do you know if that is the same thing?

Thanks.
