varyder, not sure which is funnier the people or the chimps. Both give me a chuckle.

On a separate note, it's unfortunate that this "speed" issue has been used as fodder on other Vic sites as a reason to abandon this site for the others. A competitive gorilla marketing strategy no doubt. I believe that all the sites can coexist. Each has its own "focus' and therefore its own usergroup. I see theVMC as a club and support them when I can. The VOG is a combo facebook/forum site for any biker. Andy, the owner is a early member and frequent visitor to Vision-Rider.com. It's true that while Vision-Riders specializes in Victory Vision related info, we are also a forum community some of which overlaps the other sites. I hope the addition of the other model sites (Vegas-Riders, Hammer-Riders, Kingpin-Riders) and the site I had always envisioned (Victory-Riders.com) can prosper along WITH the sites mentioned above. It's the GOOD things that should draw you to a site. I hope the good things on Vision-Riders outweigh the occasional slowness (and really it accounts for less than 1% of our uptime). If you feel you have to plug other sites here, by all means go ahead, just give us equal billing on those sites.

Jeff I make this public record to say, don't make this public record. I get overly amused over the unecessary competition concerning forums. Forums are a dime a dozen and they have their own followings. There are forums that relate to Victory's and the Vision and I have purposely avoided them because they find it necessary to be made know that it is better. Better than what I might ask? If an individual finds the need to create a forum which are a dime dozen for whatever reason, than so be it. I, as anyone else might not agree with everything a site provides or does, but it is my choice to frequent or not to frequent, there is nothing mandatory here.

With that said, as an adminstrator of a site, I would not chime in to any regards of what is said somewhere else. Not that it doesn't warrant at times, but by  you remaining neutral to the negative talk on other sites only means it has no concern of yours, and it shouldn't be. Your concern is to make your site, as you have time and resources what you want it to be, and not follow after the other folks or worry what they are saying (though listen as you see fit). I wouldn't even request an equal billing on another, as in the scheme of things, it has no meaning. Sure there's the argument that someone might not know you're here, but hey, a google search is there for that. If you go to google and type in Victory Vision forum, you get top billing, go ahead and try it. (How much did you have to pay for that?)

I'm certainly not telling you what to do, but as for me, when it comes to forums, focus on what people want, quietly, and it will prove to itself that it is worthy. Not mentioning the name of the site that I will never be a part of, anytime I visit because I am directed by a post here, I find the focal point, not on the Victory motorcycle, but on an individual, that is what that person wants, to be the center of attention. And you know what, he has that freedom to do so.

Forums with sign-ons provides the owners of the terrority to monitor and dictate the rules, and I mean dictate. You and Miles do an excellent job of that from a positive note, and Vision-Riders is what it is, a forum for the Vision rider, or potential Vision, or anyone for that matter. It is a great site for the purpose and it full-fills that purpose. There are several "care-free" motorcycle member sites out there that would literally curl your hair, and I'm sure there are folks here that go there, but it all boils down to choice.

Being a man of few words, it boils down to this. Keep doing what you are doing, if folks don't like it, let them move and spend their time bashing you on another site. There are plenty of basher sites as well, and I feel some wasn't content over there so they came here to bash. But I wouldn't even get concerned what is said at another site and even if you did read it, I wouldn't mentioned it here. These are just things to see who can pee the furtherest and it really takes away from the purpose of this site.

I'm trying to find a place to shut-up and I'm sure there are plenty who wish I would, but this forum is the only forum I've been a part of to any great degree. It all started because I wanted to know more of my machine. The other "Victory" site is a great site as well, but it takes a long time to get an answer there because of the great chatter, and I do find it very amusing. Here, you ask a question and usually you start getting immediate response, right or wrong, but they are more serious and sincere. Not saying the other site you don't get your answer, it just takes longer and makes you laugh until you do.

Anyway, I shut up (do I hear cheering). JAM, Miles, don't worry about what anyone says, or concern yourself with any other site, just do what you can here as you have time around your full-time job and riding, it is a true forum that has great reading and a great following.

Peace out!

I was falling asleep readings our beloved VA multi-paragraph message until I read "Being a man of few words" , my face still hurts from the laughter. For what it is worth, I'll keep coming here as long as you allow my password to work. Vision-Riders is the best place to get information for the Vision motorcycle.

Vary "Being a man of few words" made his first post on Dec 10th of 2007. Since that first post there have been 1789 other posts that contain 3,286,462 words and 1,095 paragraphs. I am going to guess this took a total of 7 weeks (only 3.64 hours per day, he has other things to do don't you know) and has run out of black ink and is now all posting in red text next week going to blue. Ooops now it is 1791 posts.

I thought is was really important everyone knew this. I hope I can have the pleasure of meeting him someday.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread in awhile. There's nothing wrong with it, just seems to have served it's purpose and if the issue comes back... we'll get email'd or PM'd anyway I assume. It won't be deleted, just closed.. Wouldn't want to loose those great pictures... and I'm STILL laughing anytime I even hear someone use the phrase "man of a few words..." ROFL!!!!! that's priceless...
