Well after a month or more of talking and test riding alot of different bikes for my wife and that included victory, my little bride decide on her new bike. She just picked up a 2009 Black HD Street Glide fully loaded with a 5 year warranty from our local HD shop. She has been riding for about 7 years now and has slowly upgraded her bikes. She started out on on a little honda 400 bike then she went to a 2001 Vstar 650 and then to her last bike 06 Kawasaki Vulcan 900LT. We traded that 900LT in for her new ride. We have never been brand specific and buy what we like and what fits us best. The Street Glide had every thing she wanted on a new bike like hard bags, fairing, bigger motor, gas gauge, tunes, ABS brakes, etc.
We already have an appointment to go to Rich's custom seats in seattle to have the seat custom fitted to fit just her nice little booty. We have had our last three bikes done by rich's and he does great work. A little pricey but well worth it on those long rides for comfort.
I'll be honest I rode her bike for about 100 miles the other day and it's no Vision for sure. I feel my vision fits me way better, more comfort, rides much smoother than her HD but it seems to fit her great in what she wanted and expected out of her new bike..If I would have test rode it for me I would have very nicely said to the sales guy thanks but this bike is not for me. My wife seems to really love it and she is smiling from ear to ear now which is all I wanted anyways. So we now have two american made bikes in our garage. Just trying to help the economy recover. Well thats what my neighbors say I'm trying to do. LOLOL

g1nomad she does indeed have a nice Harmon Cardon stereo system in her bike. came stock with it. The speakers are a little weak as they were on my vision so we plan to replace them already like i did on my vision.

To address your HD stereo issues, put a Biketronics UCD amplifier and their 6.5" Biketronics/Hertz speaker kit in it.  It will kick but and be very clear.

I just put the Biketronics UCD amp and 4 Biketronics/Hertz 5.25" speakers in my Vision (I could not get 6.5" speakers to fit).  The amp is really clean and clear.  It is a digital amp which also uses less current than the conventional class A/B amps.  Both driver and passenger can now hear the music very clearly at high speeds even with the Big Honkers going.

Congrats on your new stable addition.  Obie should be offering American made bike stimulus packages =).

Nice bike. That was the bike that I thought would fit my wife also but she chose to ride my Hammer instead after buying a Vision. Looks like the seat height is really low on that Street Glide which makes it just right for the vertically challenged.

Ride safe.

Congrats on the new bike! If that is the one that fits her best then it is the right one for her.

Congrats on the new bike and I wish her many happy miles. Don't forget the 3 month rule.
For those who don't know there have been numerous studies that indicate a direct correlation between new bike ownership & increased fatalities. A disproportionate number of fatalities occur within the first 3 months of ownership, miles traveled/ridden to not appear to make any difference. So the experts recommend "extra" caution and additional practice time for the first 3 months of ownership as one becomes familiar will how their new bike reacts in almost every situation.
Anyhow congrats again....... T
