Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I have seen this posted and when riding in above 90 degree heat noticed the heat myself until my last ride. I was changing up foor positions on those wonderfull long floorboards and I oticed with my feet near the back of the floorboards and my legs corrispondingly out away from the bike (just relaxed) the heat dissapeared. I initially thought I somehow redirected the heat somewhere, maybe back to the passenger but no. Playing around with swithing leg positions what I determined is somehow the leg forward position had the air off the bottom of the fairing hitting the very outside of my legs and causing a low pressure area to develope on the other side of my legs causing air to be drawn to the outside and around the riders legs. Change foot position and the condition is gone. This for me is not just a little bit but it is night and day. Check it out!

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Highway peg usage does the same. For short legged me - it's a bit awkward - pegs seem to be designed for Shaq - but sure cools things off when I do stretch out and use 'em. |

| What worked for me was the lowers which I painted black. I just game across the high desert on Nv,Utah in 100 deg temps for 800 miles and no heat issue at all |

Northeastern Penna. | Wroman, you are correct. Some may think that this is nothing but some technical gobbledegook.
I have been doing that with my leg position and yes, it does work. |

If you use the "V" highway pegs not the Victory accessory pegs, your shorter legs will do fine. The plate for the highway peg is
about 3.5 inches tall to rest more of your foot on, then the traditional hot dog diameter peg that most people put on their bikes.
I have found that this peg is much much more versatile for several foot positions. It also is waaaayyyy cooler looking then a chrome hot
dog sticking out of both sides of your bike. |
