After seeing the trike at lehmans trikes i was interested in the conversion kit and price. Well they dont offer the kit to be purchased and installed. They only sell the trike as a whole unit for $33,995 ouch!. Here is the very nice e-mail I got from Casey at Lehman's inc.

Thank you for your interest in Lehman Trikes, the Leader of the Three World. Unfortunately, the Crossbow is being offered only as a turn-key trike and not a conversion kit. Once production kicks-off, Lehman Trikes will be receiving new bikes from Victory where the Vision will be assembled as the Crossbow and then shipped to the showroom floors of our authorized Lehman Trikes Victory dealers. The M.S.R.P. for the Crossbow will be $33,995 and production of the trike should start this fall. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks and have a great day!

That's not really bad at all. If you look at any of the decent trike-conversion companies they charge $10k or more for a trike conversion. $33, 995 is about $10,000 over the price of a Vision Tour Premium.

I have to agree with Rebel. Check out what a 1800 Gold Wing conversion costs. I'd say they're pretty much in line with the norm. Gotta admit, they're far out!

WHY would anyone on this site who owns a Vision and knows what they paid for their own bike be SURPRISED by this price??
that in itself surprises me as if someone thinks its gonna be 1000.00 more or something... you get what you pay for, and just look at the thing, you expect it to be cheap???

Wonder what they cost if you supply the Vision?
when Im too old to hold 2 wheels up, that is the way I would go. I would never give up riding. Kinda rules out lane splitting though.

It is worth every penny of that price. Lehman makes first class equipment and when it is powered by a Freedom 106 (after KevinX's complete mods) it will be the baddest trike on the road.

I was looking hard at that trike, hoping they would sell the kit. With my back problems its just a matter of time for me. I would have bought the kit but if I have to buy a complete trike it will be the Stalion.....

My Dad has a GoldWing Trike that he easily has 15k in extras on it.. He has a California Sidecar Version and I would really like to see their interpetation of a Vision Trike. They have one the best trike kits from a enginerring stand point; especially in the handeling and suspension catagory...

Sweet looking but look at those little doors on the back. There can't be much storage space in there. I believe I'll be staying on 2 wheels as long as possible at that price wether its a good value or not.

I'll say one thing about this trike. If after looking at the rear doors to the storage area, and you feel they are small, thus not holding much, that would be a disservice. Now, at this point in time,
we don't know what the storage capacity is- Does anyone ? If the total storage area is the same as the 2 wheel Vision, that will be a huge disappointment, and not to buy !

I think that most people that buy a trike buy it for reasons that relate more to three wheels vs. two rather than the amount of storage space.

I've never had any real desire (not yet, anyway) for a trike, so I'm only guessing.

The Stalion??? That's not a trike. It's a car that only has three wheels.

Price wise the Vision trike is pretty low for the segment. The HD Ultra trike is $38K, and most wing Vercions Start at $35K

kevinx, the new HD Glide trike made by Lehman is $28k but you'd need to add the heated grip and seat so add another $1k to that figure. Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing on the Vic Crossbow, in fact I'd have expected to see the price around where it is or a little more.
I like it, but there is a beemer trike running around my town and it is one sweet looking ride, probably the nicest looking trike I've ever seen. Oh well not for me YET!

If I had to buy a trike the Crossbow is one I would have to consider. It looks pretty good as a trike, much better than some of the others I have seen.

Always get a laugh out answers from people that haven't been there, haven't done that.
While in Sturgis I went to the Lehman plant. Very nice place. The Crossbow looks really nice. I asked a lady there to open the saddle bags so I could see the storage. There is not a lot of storage but most owners of Lehman I have seen pull a trailer. There was a 3rd party vendor there with some nice looking trailers.
A trike fills a need for some people. Some are Vets with injuries and some are people that have lost their sense of balance. It's all about getting out and riding.

My Sturgis landlady's son in law paints at the Lehman plant.

One thing I did find interesting is some HD/GW Lehman trike owners were complaining about leaks in the trunk space. The Lehman tour guide said they were waiting for HD/GW engineers to come up with a fix. That the Renegade (Lehman's model) did not have leaks. So if you need a trike have your dealer arrange for the bike you want to have the Renegade upgrade.

NO, you can not have the rearend removed off your bike, have a rearend differential built, have a nice fiberglass rearpanel made and have everything painted to match your bike for $29.95.

My mistake. The two I have seen in person were both in the $38K range, and I assumed that was the msrp

Do the Victory engineers have shrink rays for their "stuff"? Do the ever run to the grocery store on a motorcycle? I am glad the new Cross Country/Roads have big saddlebags, but the are unique in Victory's line up. I LOVE the way this Crossbow looks, but maybe the fenders could have been longer?

Kevinx, no big deal bud, I figured you either hit the wrong button or had looked at one of the pricey models. I've seen RG trikes and EG Trikes from Lehman that were in excess of $45k. I think it depends upon the model trike kit being used, extra goodies added and they make several for HD. The new tri-glide (I think that's the name) is the new one sent to the dealers at $28k. I guess what I'm saying is you could very well have an ultra trike with a sticker of at least what you mentioned and perhaps much more. I'd be hard pressed to decide between the RG trike and the Crossbow, both look very nice.
RedRider, hmmm that's interesting to know about the saddlebags/trunk. So looks like form over function is the norm for the Vision designers. Still looks cool as hell but one would have hoped a bit more storage could be accomplished.

I too have been through the Lehman manufacturing plant and I can say without a doubt that if I had to buy a trike, they would be the builders. Their stuff is not cheap. But then, you get what you pay for!

I enjoyed the fact that they take a LOT of pride in their work and don't ask a lot for it.

I would certainly not go a cheaper way as they engineering that Lehman provides is outstanding to say the least!

Now, the small storage is a concern. But then again, I had to learn again how to pack my Vision. So, I can't imagine the learning curve would be too difficult! Trailers are always a great idea and one I have been toying with for some time now. Just not ready to bite THAT bullet!
