Saw the post for the Michigan crowd, figured I would ask who lives in TN? I'm in Knoxville myself.

joe - it's a good thing that you live on the far end from Memphis. If you know who lived there you wouldn't be axin' such a question...

TF, watch out for little chickens and fans of engineers, they're a funny bunch that resides in your neck of the woulds. one likes to do sheetrock surfing and blames things on the SO, and the other wants to motivate with unscrupulus postings.

maybe you can take them out of the woulds and make something of them...

oh, and welcome to the board... and Vision world. what's the color...

2008 Midnight Cherry Tour Premium. 1400 troublefree miles in 7 days. I'm happy.

Varyder, I will consider myself as having been warned.

BTW, if you think the Vision riders around Memphis are crazy, you should see our city's mayor.

TopFuel, I like the new interim mayor, he's got a little spunk to him. Fired one of Herenton's lawyer cronies almost the day he took office, with a lawsuit to follow, but haven't heard much from that.
Welcome to the board. Songfan and I bought ours from FRS Powersports in Memphis and are really happy with the fellas over there. I live up in Tipton County but drive down to Getwell and stateline on a daily basis through the madness that is Memphis.

Little Bio- I love sheetrock, bricks, the occassional run up through the Dragon's tail, long rides on evenings with the Spousal Unit. Long, curvy, black lines of lust, with just a little shot of chrome thrown in to make my bling really shine. Enough about me.

I was down at FRS last week or so and a fella was picking up a midnight cherry and gonna ride out into some possibly rainy weather, but he was headed straight home. Then another fella was backing one off the trailer at the same time. Looked like a Vision Convention. I made a point to let the first guy know to check his rear air as soon as he had a chance. Any of them you?

Pollolittle, yes that was me buying my new Vision from FRS on a dark rainy day. (I'm really a pro at doing brainy stuff like that.) I rode into FRS on a Concours 14/ABS and left on a Vision. No regrets. No buyer's remorse. I missed the rain riding home, but it started raining for three days non-stop exactly 1 minute after I arrived home.

BTW, Thanks for the heads up on the rear shock pressure.

Little Bio: I'm a shop supervisor in a large class 8 diesel shop, and tinker with cars and bikes on the weekends. I never miss the NHRA races at the Motorsports park. Most of my riding is to head east out toward Shiloh or Pickwick.

I believe the Joe Birch/"King Willie" interview is admissible evidence that our (ex)mayor is crazy. Hope to see you again soon. JimA.

Take the last train to Clarksville,
And I'll meet you at the station.
You can be be there by four thirty,
'Cause I made your reservation.
Don't be slow, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

'Cause I'm leavin' in the morning
And I must see you again
We'll have one more night together
'Til the morning brings my train.
And I must go, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home.

Take the last train to Clarksville.
I'll be waiting at the station.
We'll have time for coffee flavored kisses
And a bit of conversation.
Oh... Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

Take the last train to Clarksville,
Now I must hang up the phone.
I can't hear you in this noisy
Railroad station all alone.
I'm feelin' low. Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home.

Take the last train to Clarksville,
Take the last train to Clarksville,

good to meet you too, there topfuel. Do you go to race or just watch? If you race, you gonna give that Vision a run. That sounds like that would be fun.

I think that was the evening, I was trying to hang out and wait for the Rain to pass, had Travis look it up and saw that I would get to enjoy it most of the way home. that has to be one of the things the Vision does not do best, avoiding raindrops. I normally ride out toward the river and up into Tipton county for all the country backroads.

Yes I agree the exmayor that wants to run again, is bonafided egomaniac, with third person syndrome.

Historically, my favorite area to ride in has been the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. I don't care to get hung up in the West Memphis never ending highway construction anymore so I've been sticking to West Tennessee instead.

I never raced in Top Fuel. Brackets only.

There were two sucessfull driver (then owners) that my son and I befriended. We used to travel to several national events each season, hang out, eat free food, and pretend we were a critical component to the race teams' success. We enjoyed a good 12 year run until my son married, had children of his own, and had to ration his vacation time.

From what I can gather there are about 4 of us Vision riders in the Memphis area.

Living in Tennessee......., only in daydreams when the dust, smog and the uniform earth-tone paints required by HOA's in southern California make me wonder why I ever left, but then again I haven't seen a mosquito in almost 10 years so I suppose that's a blessing.

Question: Why does California have Tree Huggers while Tennessee has blood sucking mosquitoes?

Answer: Tennessee had the option to pick between the two.

Welcome Top Fuel / fellow NHRA member...
While visiting family I had the opportunity to visit 'Thunder Alley" Bristol a few years back. Nice Facility. Wolud like to race there at some point.
I am a current competitor in Top Sportsman out here in the west. Last year I had my Vision with me while competing the races in Sonoma Ca. After the races myself along with a dozen other riders took some real nice rides around the local areas usually 200+ mile days.
I know I am the only Vision Pilot on the NHRA Circuit out here in the west ( So-Far). I think I may be converting a few fellow races from getting into a street glide and onto a Cross Country. Yes we are all sales people and proud of our machines.

Having a Vision / motorcycle at a major race event is a real nice way to escape the crowds and enjoy the local environment when we race around the country.

Now I need a bigger trailer to fit two motorcycles and a race car LOL

Enjoy your Vision...

JSP, you have a "killer car" for those here that don't follow America's only home grown motorsport.

Do you have a website??

BTW, the Pietro's #1 Pizza Restaurants are owned by a former drag racer. I see where a lot of the NHRA drivers' blogs mention having eatten there while racing at Sonoma. They must be good to keep getting all of the free ink.
