yes, yes, and yes. Much better, than anything I've ever used. I got mine from Saddleman at a cost of $120 with a discount. Normally it is $140.00 from them or other vendors that carry it. Victorys bag is exactly the same with a Victory badge on it for another C-note more.

I've taken several trips using it and even use it when I need to carry a little more. I can load a suit in a suit bag, my computer and a few days change of clothes. This leaves my trunk available for my helmet or other things. The great thing about the saddleman is that you can take your trunk off and it stands in when you need a quick storage area. The only thing that I'm concerned with is that the trunk is completely waterproof and on rainy days it protects my computer (we don't need no stinkin' computer) better than the bag would.

I hope this helps, as for me this is one of the better purchases I have bad and use it quite regularly.

I also have the Saddleman bag and have used it on a few trips. I love it and will continue to use it for long distance rides, however, pack your gear in a large garbage bag inside the Saddleman because it is definitely NOT waterproof. They do not make a cover for it and while it has some protection, the zippers and seams leak and whatever is inside will get wet in a downpour.

I have one, us it every time I ride solo. I need to carry a lot of stuff and found this a necessity. In fact when looking at the Vision the one I saw had this on and that helped to sway me. Pretty decent backrest too, especially when loaded.

I use that bag constantly. I got a pillow at walmart that fits right under the criss crossed bungee cord and makes a great backrest for us short guys. I left the pillow in the plastic wrapper and covered it with a smooth black garbage bag to keep it dry.
Look around you can definitly beat their price. I have an issue with Saddlemen. When I ordered my bag from them it didn't show up and when I called they said that they didn't have an order for me. Three weeks after I bought the bag from a dealer in Colorado Saddlemen sent me a bag. It took them three weeks to have fedex pick it up. Its been another five weeks and they still haven't taken the charge off my credit card. They won't give me my money back because I didn't get prior approval when they ordered the bag shipped back.

Thanks for the thread. I'm heading for the dealer in the morning and had planned on buying the bag from them.

The shopping list also includes a travel cover, heel/toe shifter, and lower deflectors. Should I go Victory on these, or consider other options first?

Thanks that is a much better deal than the 10% off on the $230 bag that happens to say Victory.
