Hinton, Iowa | I am thinking about purchasing an intercom system so my wife can comunicat with me while
touring on the Vision. I am concidering the scala mostly becuse of the cost. But am wondering
if some of you have had some experience with the Chatterbox or the scala Q2 and could let me
hear your opinions and the goods and bads of each system. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Aberdeen SD | I have the Q2 and am very happy with it blue tooth rider to rider works really good phone usage also good can hear good and have good conversation at 70MPH with full face helment battery life is also very good can also go bike to bike up to 200 yards |

, IA | yes that is true we just take are bike chargers with us and when we stop for lunch plug them in and by the time where done there charged up enough to finish are day it took us awhile to figure out how to synchronize but now that take as long as a push of a button |

Goldsboro, NC | Although they are a bit more pricey, I might suggest the IBC Camos BTS-300. I have the precursor (BTH-600) and I love it. The 300 has a third channel and the long range bluetooth that the Q2 uses. Battery life on the 600 has been excellent (9 hours of nonstop music played on fairly high volume). I can not spek for the 300.

I had an el cheapo Chatterbox and was happy niether with the product nor the support. On the other hand, it WAS an el cheapo model and I hear that they are reputable. Take it as an anecdotal case.
The one Scala I tried did not pair with my cell phone, so it was a non-starter for me. I'm sure that in that last 18 months, many more devices are supported. It's always best to test the pairing (is that really stereo or is it mono? can I hear anything at all?) before wasting time with installation. Scala also has good reputation.
Hope this helps. I researched quite a few systems (from $80 to $2400) before deciding that the Camos had the price/performance point I was looking for.

west bend, wi | We have that Scala Q2s. Great battery life - easily last for 8 hours - and quick to recharge. Great range even in town if my wife and I are each on our own bikes. And they have been easy to sync with phones, bluetooth drivers for iPods and each other..... |

Woodland Hills, CA | I have the Scala Rider Teamset for communication from front to back seat onnly. Easy to install, and works good. I wired mine to work with audio ear plugs, and it works great. My SO uses the helmet speakers, which work up to about 50 mph, after which she has a hard time understanding me. I am going to have a set of ear plug speakers made for her as well which I am sure will solve the problem. I have also used the bluetooth for the phone, and the sound is great. People on the other end can't tell I'm on the bike, and I can hear perfectly (again, with ear plug speakers). But the controls are a bit difficult to work and seem inconsistent. But since I have only used it twice (I am not really interested in using my cell when I am riding), I think I just have not gotten the hang of it yet. Overall, I think the Scala Rider is great for the money; easy to install and it serves the purpose. And we are not tangled up with wires to the bike.

I have experienced both products(scala and blueant).actually, me and my friend both were interested in buying bike-bike communication devices. I went for scala, while my friend for blueant.
And I am happy with my decision, because the voice quality of interphone f4 at high speed sucks. the quality of their conversation above 60 km is not good. and when he went to return the product, blueant were a nightmare to deal with. I would not recommend it to any one. |

Cabot Arkansas | We have the Q2 and I use it on my open face helmet with good results picks up a little wind noise at 70 mph but my wife says she can hear me clearly,she is usally about 1/4 to 1/2 mile behind me because her black vision is not as fast as my midnight cherry is  |

minnesota | I have the Scala Q2 and I agree with other users that the battery life is really good. We usually keep them in the "voice activated" mode. the only time they ran dead was an early morning to late evening leg between Ohio and Iowa. The died just before stopping at the hotel. Clarity is good. I bought mine from an electronics place in Iowa for around $249 (complete pair) a year ago. I can look up the receipt if you are interested. I have not used it with my phone so I can't comment on that. We both have HJC modular full-face helmets. I did try bike to bike which worked good, but the helmets were older and noisier so we gave up until we bought new helmets (HJCs). |

| Blueant is the worst device I have ever used. I have this system. I bought it at the end of january. but I am very dissapointed after using it. it was not like the one I was thinking to be. I thought they would have improved the quality. They haven?t ? the quality of the conversation above 60 is not good. I will soon return it.
My friend told me that scala is a nice brand. I have not used it personally. |

| I don't like blueant at all, I usually enjoy riding above 80km/hr. But everytime, above 65-70, my F4 starts annoying voices, so it becomes impossible for me to enjoy music or stay connected with my pal riders. Its just a useless device for me.

and the guy i buy from matched the price. Run Ipod/ Iphone Bluetooth and intercom bike to bike, its all good !
I wasnt that concerned with $ as I was with performance. |

Yellowknife, NT Canada | I purchased the Interphone F4 last year. had to get it from Europe. was not available in North America. It works fine for me and my rider. We bluetooth in separate ipods, the GPS, separate cells phones, and intercom to each other. Everything uses A2DP Stereo Bluetooth. I do carry the chargers with me. I ordered the 12 VDC charger from Interphone but it did not fit the F4. Too much hassel to ship back to Europe for the 15.00 spent on it. we also drive a Victory Vision. It charges my itouch fine. |
