Just an FYI - here is what I paid yesterday for 'Job: VICTORY-FULL SERVICE'.

PARTS: Washer $1.25, Chrome Oil Filter $19.99 - Sub-total $21.24

LABOR: 1.5 hours $165.00

OTHER: Victory Oil $ 42.99

MISC: Shop Supplies $ 16.50

TAX: Provincial & GST $ 29.50

TOTAL COST OF SERVICE: $275.00

Not sure how this will look when I press 'Submit' - bound to be ugly --- ugly as paying that much for service. My car is FREE and I get a Car Wash thrown in.....

That is exactly why I chuckle when people say support your dealer. Over a hundred bucks an hour for routine service work is gouging. Routine service work should be a nominal rate to support you for buying their bike. I understand they need to keep the "high tech" wrench well paid to keep them, but not on the back of a customer seeking routine service. They won't need the high tech wrench when you go to another dealer.

The full service? How many K's and what all did they do? If it was everything from cleaning battery terminals, checking exhaust and intake bolts, rear wheel alignment, etc. I'd say that is acceptable.

It's a checklist they run thru - adjust/fix if necessary. Good part: I have had NO problems with the bike going into it's 3rd year (other than the radio control thing).
And that means I have not had to do ANY tinkering - not even check the tire pressure.
Or get down on the ground to look UNDER the bike - to see what a CHROME oil filter looks like.
Or wonder what $10/litre oil smells like - or looks like on a dipstick.

I fully agree, I'm the same, there was a time I wouldn't let anyone touch my vehicles. Now I'm too lazy to even wash them. Thats why God invented automatic car washes.

HEADS UP....... Wear rain gear when you run your Vision through the car wash.

Just got the performance filter from my stealer ......you know, the $59.95 one! Holding the final bill now. $110.95 I installed it myself. Mind you there was a $16 charge for sending it to me on the bus ( the bus freight was actually $11.90). Sooooo tired of the difference in pricing. Pure Polaris listed the filter at $65 Canadian. I call to ask the 'real' price now. Want to get some chrome but really not feeling up to the pain right now but sympathize with you Don. By the way why the 1.5 hour shop time to do a 5 min. job?
