Well I have 1100 miles on mu new Vision and I love this bike more with every mile. I have installed several options including the CB – Intercom, XM Radio, Garmin Zumo 550 GPS, foot pegs, Saddle bag cargo nets, and Utopia Back Rest.

I have a couple of minor issues and wondering if anyone else was having these issues.

1.    The little panel that pops in just in front of the seat between the seat and the console is not fitting as tight as it used to and now vibrates loose and will pop part of the way off while driving hard.  It appears that the rubber grommets that hold it tight are now loose. Any thoughts?

2.    From about 3,200 rpm and up I am getting a little more vibration than I think I should. I really feel it in the right handlebar grip to the extent that my hand will start to get num after riding at 90 mph plus for 30 minute stretches or longer.  The left handlebar grip is a lot smoother. I fel the vibration in the seat a little bit also.  I have had this on other bikes and in some cases it went away as the bike got broke in and a couple of times it was caused by a part being loose that transferred the vibration to the frame in a way it shouldn’t if tight.  Any thoughts?

I could write a small book on all the things I love about this bike. The comfort, handling and aerodynamics of the bike are off the chart.

Thanks,

So Cal
I have had trouble with the panel. I lube the grommets with WD-40 and seat the forward ones first then push the back one in.

Check the fit of the aluminum V under the windshield for the Vibrations.
There are 4 rubber nipples (2 each side)and 3 tongue and groove connectors(middle)
Pop the panel off entirely(DO NOT pull away from bike too far as you can rip out FM antenna)
Reinstall making sure all is seated properly. Try Wd-40 on rubber nipples and make sure entire panel is seated properly. This worked for me the first week I had the bike....

I have had trouble with the panel next to the seat. When I picked up my Vision from the dealer, the panel did not look like it was installed correctly. There was a larger gap on one side compared to the other. I went for a ride the other day, and the panel was partialy raised and looked like it was about to pop off. My garage is not insulated, so the heating and cooling must have worked the panel loose. I push it back down, and it looked like it went back in correctly.

I talked with an Engineer about the aluminum panel under the windshield. I told him the tips of the panel are raised and there is a gap. You can see the turn signals inside the bike by looking through the gap. He told me he had heard this from other riders and that the part was not installed correctly at the dealership. I guess the bike is shipped with the part not installed.

No problems with the little panel in front of the seat.
No real vibration up to about 75mph. I do notice that I get a lot more vibration when I am really getting into the drive and running it up near its RPM limit switch. The handlebars, floorboards, and seat start to come alive at this point. To me, lightly exhiliarating, bike is coming alive. Settles back down when I get out of it. I don't cruise anywhere at 90mph + for 30 minutes +, so I can't really talk to that point. Most of my RPM's are around 3000 or less.

I had this problem with mine also on one side and so I removed it and found they had a piece of foam packing material still attached to the side not seating right. I removed the piece of foam and reinstalled and it fit perfectly.

I think I found the problem. The right bolt that holds the seat to the frame was only half way screwed in. I tried to screw it further but it won't go and it appears the threads are messed up. I had the dealer install my CB radio and they must of got the bolt started wrong. I am on my way down to have them fix it now as they are open on Sundays also which is really cool. They are a great shop but anyone can make a mistake but they will always make it right without question and I love that.

I will try the WD-40 also but I think the vibration and movement of the seat is the main cause for the cover coming unseated. I will let you know later if this is the case.

The windshield is installed by the dealer, I had the same issue, just make sure the edge of the panel clears the plastic in front of it and snap it down.

Well the vibration problem was caused by the loose bolt that holds down the right side of the seat. I got it tight and the vibration went away. I will get some WD-40 (all out) tomorrow and try it on the grommets.

Thanks you all,

90 mph for 30 minutes. Hey, this is a cruiser not a sportbike. Slow down and the vibration will go away.
