Has anyone had the left side bag replaced by Victory due to the misalignment issue?

Northwest of you

I realigned both doors on my "side storage" (I guess they are called "bags" like facial tissue is called Kleenex).

I have made many adjustments and checked for tightness on my Vision, much more than any other Victory I have had.

I know dealers fill out the "delivery checklist", but I think that is more for exercise than in response to anything they actually did.

I think they feel they will catch anything missed on the 500 mile service.

I think too, that these bikes are so "bullet proof", techs have a good deal of confidence in them.

I have found a loose bolt here and there on all my bikes, so it doesn't hurt to walk around your bike with a wrench.

I'm having mine replaced, although it's not for the "dent". I found a spot near the seat that appeared to have a honeycomb pattern in it. I couldn't tell if it was a paint defect or just a spot that was missed during paint, but it was an obvious defect once identified. My new door should be in this week.

I'll let ya'll know if the replacement has the dent...

There is a "U" bolt that secures into the "latch".

I removed it and put 1 washer (a small one, the size of the securing screw) behind the "U" bolt on the left and two on the right side, replaced the "U" bolt and it was the perfect "shim" for my side storage doors.

Prior to that my right side was VERY tight and required both hands to break loose. The left was not bad, but the adjustment really helped.

Now both doors work perfectly and line up exactly.
