I was thinking about having a custom riding jacket made. This is my rough draft. Thoughts?

I like it!!!

I have been thinking about finding a nice (good) leather jacket and having my 10th Anniversary patches put on... Large in the back and the small pocket one in the front. What I did not think of was the two tone leather to match the Anniversary bike or the Victory a cross the top.

Looks great!!!

I had thought about putting the patch on a jacket as well but the guy here will create the patch from scratch using leather. He even has a leather that resembles carbon fiber.

Funny I was thinking the patch would look better on that with just the "V" and the 10th Anny on it. Have the leather showing in the center. Vanson leather makes jackets like this but wait for their yearly sale to buy.
Good luck.

I get the feeling that people related the patches to the bike instead of the company.

Interesting indeed. My wife and I were just talking this morning about getting jackets embroidered with Vision logos, names etc. This jacket looks great! It's hot here this week and so we both thought a light weight nylon with the same design would be great for evenings and cool mornings before the heat rolls in.

They also make the armored mesh ones here as well and if you think it up they will make it. Custom mesh ones are around $100-140.

I hate to be a party pooper but is there any copywrite problems with that. I truly hope for your case not, as thats the coolest victory jacket I have seen yet.

Well I hope Vision Riders doesn't mind me using the logo on the front. However I don't plan on selling the jacket. I believe there are provisions for using a logo or image for ones personal use. Kind of like a tribute thing. And heck if we looked around you'll see way more people pushing the limits of copyright infringement than me making a jacket for myself. I kinda figured someone would chime in on this.

Heck if I drew a Victory logo on my wall in my garage, am I breaking the law? I think not.

But if I drew that Victory logo on a T-shirt and sold it then yes I would be breaking the law.

Thanks for the cool jacket comment. When you go custom there are a lot of options and it's hard to decide.

I actually own this leather jacket. Its awesome and great features. From a "group" perspective, it would be stupid to make this jacket
with that logo because 95% of us on here who would want one DONT HAVE A 10TH Anniversary BIKE !!!! Come up with a design that
suits ALL OF US not a very small few and more people would be interested in buying it. Great idea, but Marketing 101 is available as a night class in community college LOL........

I think it looks great. My only comment would be I would bring the front logo up into the red and make it black. It gets kinda lost red on black.

Well I do appologize if I misrepresented my original post. The jacket design above is meant just for me. I realize this wouldn't be for everyone and this wasn't meant to be a marketing situation. I will not be selling these jackets.

I was just looking for a little help picking my jacket design. Creative eyes like Clubford's comment about the red on black getting lost. That was something I hadn't thought about but in hindsight makes perfect sense.

I still like the design - but then again I have a 10th Anniversary bike.

I am just not a big fan of leather on leather style. However - I should think about it - I thinking thinking that if it is a quailty leather - it may wear better then a patch...

I am betting that when they roll out the 15th or 20th or 25th... They will be selling the patches, hats and shirts with the logo...
I will I want them - who knows.

If you were trying to compliment the 10th Anni maybe make the white piping gold just my 2 cents otherwise it looks great.

The white piping is reflective. I will have to see if they have the reflective piping in gold color.

I like it! Too bad it will not be produced for sale. With or without the 10th anniversary part would make it a great jacket for the Vision Riders Buy and Sell section.

Great looking jacket. The thing I would add is a 106 badge on a left shoulder and for sure the
American flag on the left sleeve
