A little photoshop night-vision.  Ever since I color-matched the big access panel under the windshield, I feel like I gave away about two feet of visibility to oncoming traffic.  That huge aluminum "flying v" is visible a long way off.  These LEDs make me look four-feet wide again. 

First I thought you photoshopped those leds in...lol!

Are the 18 led strips attached with a 3m tape/adhesive? 

Do you get any light in your eyes from them at night?

Did you wire them up off the HID light switch?

Could you provide a link where you purchased them?

I didn't make a big deal out of this for several reasons.  1)  Not convinced on the quality of the LEDs.  $27.00 at AutoZone (also in Canadian WalMarts).  Obviously Chinese made and not blacked out.  You can see the wiring/diodes between each LED.  Not sure what to use to paint them black that would last.  2)  I drilled a hole in the bottom of my right fairing to run the wires on that side (not a popular option).  3)  The look.  It looks like I highlighted its "ears".  I was going for something more menacing.  Having said that, women and kids think it's the coolest thing ever.  Is that a bad thing?

They come with 3m brand tape on the back.  They stick really well.  I PosiTapped into the Pink/Green wire coming off the HID switch.  I could do this whole thing in about 20 minutes and I can undo it in about 2 minutes (not counting scaping off the tape/cleanup).  This is just a little experiment that I may or may not keep. 

I can see a faint glow through the clear strip since it is not blacked out.  It is not distracting at all.  No direct light from the LEDs from the saddle.

p.s. - The "glow" from each lit LED is about 5 times the width of the actual diode.  That's why they look photoshopped.  The strip is basically invisible head-on when mounted and unlit.  About as thin as a dime.  I would say 3 or 4 times thinner than the strip used on the MOABL.  Very cool concept and amazing amount of light for their size.  Each LED is about as big as half a grain of rice.

Having said that, women and kids think it's the coolest thing ever.  Is that a bad thing?    

Yeah, that's a good thing The price is right to have some fun with it.

You gave me idea of using amber lights and hooking them up to the turn signals.
