One little cosmetic thing that is bothering me about my new Vision; id the black plastic collar that the ignition key is centered in. The bottom lip of the collar is raised about an 1/8 of an inch; seems that it's a bad fit on the ignition key switch.

Anyone else have this issue? Anyone have to trim areas on the bottom of the plastic collar to get it to fit flush against the center console?

Mine fit great from the get-go but this would be a great time to get to know your bike a little. The Center panel comes off fairly easily, follow the steps in the service manual. The trim ring on the vision is notorious for rattling so many of us have cut a piece of stick on foam and installed the trim ring with the foam in between it and the center panel. I would guess that yours has  something interfering with the trim sitting down flat. It may be and easy fix or you may have to get a new one from the dealer under warranty.

Do a search here on the forum for service manual and you should be able to find a thread with a link to a downloadable electronic version of the manual. Good Luck!

P.S. I found the link so here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=07fff18097bbb6d2ab1eab3e9fa335ca951e13731ef3881f

Copy the address into another browser window and than download each chapter onto your computer to save permanently.

You might want to try just loosening the center panel screws a bit and see if you can slide things into alignment and retighten the screws, it's an assembly of several parts and whoever put it on may not have used all the care they should have when installing the panel.

You might be able to push down firmly and twist it one way or another to get it to fall in place

That black ring on my vision kept wiggling around.. could actually hear it vibrate at speed. I did the double sided black tape on it when i gave up on how to tighten it up
