Lloyd tunned this on the dyno. The bike runs very good, but I'm not loving the terrible mileage and the soot on the exhuast. I want to mess with it. Does any know what it means when the two different color LEDs alternat back and forth? Do you check you settings with the bike running or key on engine off?
This is what I have:

Engine off:

Green 3.5 (3rd and 4th both lit solid)
Yellow: 1.5 (1st and second lit solid)
Red: 1 SOLID
Green/Blue, Yellow/Blue and Red/Blue: the first and last light blink in an alternating pattern.

The only thing different with the engine running at idle is the red LED blinks.

I don't get this thing no matter how mant times I read the adjustment guide. Any input would be appreciated. Less than 3 weeks away from a 3000 mile trip.

Correction to last post. The red only the "1" LED blinks running or not.
The yellow/blue it's the 6-8 lights that alternate
the red/Blue it's the 2-8 that alternate

If it were me and you have had your bike dynoed I would not touch nothing. I mean you paid good money for the dyno tune and your going to put a screw driver to it and through that money away. Bad idea.
Why not call Lloydz or send him a email and explain your poor gas millage. Make your self some notes so make sure you touch on all your dislikes.
The lights going back an forth is the way the unit work. As for the soot stock or camed its part of the bike. Vic has a cheap ecm controlling the bike.

It's stock as far as the engine is concerned. I just figured if I record Lloyd's settings I can always put it back. The green and yellow are on steady. My understanding from the paperwork that each number was a step, two adjacent lights lit was a half step, so blinking lights not next to one another makes my eyes bleed.

I figured our the two lights blinking back and forth.
It's The yellow/blue is set at 6.0 and
the red/Blue is 2.0

So... you have a completely stock machine and running a FC, why? Do you at least have the stage1 kit (pipes & filter)? If so, do you have the stage1 mapping or still stock map? Are your O2 sensors disconnected? Sorry.... just confused why your running a FC on your machine, maybe I'm missing something here.

FYI... I'm sure you know this, but better to be on the rich side vs lean side.

Well to start with I bought the bike used with it in it. It has Ness Big Honkers, Lloydz intake plate and the K&N style knock-off filter. I rode out to Daytona right after I bought it in February (first Vision totaled 1/9/11) and had Lloyd put it on the dyno. We rode hard the 80 miles there. My onboard computer said 45 MPG average economy. I topped it off and did the math. Actual MPG was 43, off about the same as Vision #1. Lloyd said it was running very lean and dyno tuned it. Seemed to run better but it's hard to say because I didn't ride it much before the tune. Now I get about 36 MPG and have given up on keeping the tips clean. Granted a 4 MPG difference is only 3 gallons more per 1000 miles, I just hate a low fuel light at 180 miles. I have the current settings recorded and am going to monkey with it.

I agree better a little too rich vs. too lean.
