Fountain Inn, SC United States | Unfortunately the town of Gilford, NH has not followed through on revoking its year-old ordinance on noise/light limitations during bike week. After last year's lower vendor revenue, there' was talk of revoking the knee-jerk law. Well, nothing has happened so it's still in place, so Lloydz dyno will not be coming. Not sure what they are expecting to achieve as far as noise limits, half the bike up there are run loud just going down the street.
Laconia as a whole has seen a decline in attendance over recent years. Just about all the vendors I talked with last year were considering pulling out of the event citing poor attendance, lousy weather, and ridiculous vendor fees (both from the city and property owners). The abundance of smaller local rallies in more favorable weather locations & times has also given Laconia competition. And, as if that weren't enough, anyone who's been stuck in hour-long stop 'n' go traffic near Weirs Beach is probably also having second thoughts about going for a weekend visit.
That said, I'll probably make it up for a Thursday-Friday visit and stop by the Victory truck (if that's still coming) at the Airport Plaza (where Lloyd normally is) in Gilford.
